Job Description

- Point of contact for users across the BANKS for data issue escalations. The EDM team ensures that data hosted in data warehouse is of good quality and conforms to data standards such as completeness, accuracy and consistency, to support regulatory and management reports. The team also promotes data automation and makes use of data to help develop initiatives to improve productivity.

- Data discovery through provision data requests to respective Data Playpen for business units across the Group. - The objective advocates self-service data exploration and analysis within and among Business/Support Units. - Data definition and specification documents are available to provide navigational guidance and support for data provision purposes.

Your main responsibilities include:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements & functional specifications on data related initiatives.
- Perform data profiling and gap analysis, source to target mappings, data issue capturing, resolution and escalation.
- Provide end-to-end project delivery support, including workshop planning, conducting of workshop walkthrough, user acceptance testing ,defect support, continuous validation and assisting with rollout activities.
- Able to perform complex SQL scripting to meet user’s requests.
- Foster strong working & collaborative relationships with the business & technology stakeholders.

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Computer Science with at least 2 years of working experience in banking industry, preferably with business / functional knowledge;
- Experience in gathering and documentation of business requirements;
- Knowledge in Data Warehousing, BI tools, Big Data platforms and experienced in the use of analytical /query tools.

- Must be able to query and understand database solutions.
- Experience in developing and documenting data-driven solutions – including capturing architectures, metadata systems, data dictionaries, databases and applications.
- Good team player who possesses drive and initiative;
- Excellent written / oral communication skills to effectively interact with different stakeholders and external vendors, able to work independently under pressure.

Overall Role Purpose:

• Working within the Group Data Science, you will leverage huge volumes of Structured and Unstructured data to solve real business problems across the OCBC Group.
• You will work closely with business to understand their problem statements and transform them into ML and AI challenges when needed.
• You will work on a variety of problem from traditional AI and Machine learning to Generative AI problem when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Work with business leaders across OCBC Group to identify opportunities for leveraging big data and Data Science to drive value for our customers and business.
• Develop and maintain machine learning/deep learning models to achieve the desire business outcomes – such as State of the Art Reinforcement learning system or RAG.
• Develop and maintain models in production. Set up controls and monitoring for the models.
• Use MLOps processes and tools to monitor and refine Production model performance and accuracy.

Specific Knowledge:

• 2 years+ of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, ideally with a Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other quantitative field.
• Strong programming experience, with solid understanding of software engineering design patterns and best practices.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Trino, and Spark.
• Some experience in the use of CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GIT/Bitbucket.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Exposure to the semiconductor industry is a plus but not a requirement.
