Research by Design (RxD) at the Department of Architecture seeks qualified, interdisciplinary, and inspirational candidates with expertise in creative practice research (research through design, as opposed to research for design or research about design). We seek candidates with expertise in design with foundations in decarbonized & planet-positive futures, warming world futures, social justice, and inclusive futures, with a particular focus on being situated in the tropical geographies of Southeast Asia and the equator. Candidate research should be manifested through a robust portfolio of creative practice outputs and substantiated through forms of peer review and public and societal engagement, with evidence of leading with anticipatory and future-forward design ideas that impact evolving society and the profession. • Lead the print team and oversee development of work for consumer/corporate client campaigns and projects
• Conceptualising and proposing innovative print ideas (ATL/BTL)
• Oversee the day-to-day work of the design team and provide art direction guidance
• Experience work on several projects simultaneously

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or equivalent from an accredited art / design school or university
• Min. of 3 years professional experience as an Art Director in print and design creative
• Proficient in all the Graphic Design software – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Freehand is preferably.
• Sound knowledge in print production process preferred

Project Design & Engineering Calculations and Proposal drawings to Client.

Review M&E Design Drawings and ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines. Identify discrepancies between M&E, Structural, ID, Architectural and Client provisions.

Review incoming engineering, ISO piping drawings and assess impact of extra work or changes on schedule.

Ensure all regulatory and statutory requirements regarding testing and record keeping are met.

Supervise and coordinate M&E and Mechanical piping/equipment installation in accordance with approved drawings and materials. Coordinate M&E details with Clients, Consultants, Sub-contractors and other site staffs.

Monitor performance of multi-skilled craft workers in the installation, removal, or adjustment of equipment or components in accordance with established project procedures, requirements and specifications.

Monitor construction schedules, methods, manning charts, materials and equipment requirements.

Establish effective communications with the Client's field representative, through discussions, and such other arrangements as are required to maintain close working relationships.

Supervise electrical and instrumentation construction work as per IFC drawings.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Aerobic/Anerobic processes, membrane technology (UF, MBR), and sludge handling applications in water/wastewater treatment.
• Exhibit self-drive, results orientation, and the ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Fluent in Mandarin to facilitate effective communication with Chinese clients and vendors.
• Prefer immediate availability or a short notice period.
• Must hold Singaporean citizenship.
