Job Purpose :

Engineer produces specifications for, design, develop technical drawings. He/she is expected to service and give technical advice to customers and fellow colleagues. He/she will be the main contact person for shutdown projects.

Duties and Responsibilities :

* Attend site / plant shutdown meeting

* Relay information to sales to work on preliminary quotation

* Liaise with Customers and Sales to carry out production of work orders as specified

* Liaise with Sales with regards to availability of raw materials for production or request purchase of required material when necessary.

* Monitoring progress reports on gasket usage by Customers during plan shutdown (container service) and generate weekly consumption report for customer.

* Compile and consolidate all expenses incurred by the Company (ie. manpower, overtime, meals and transportation) during shutdown project period.

* Attend to quality and technical problems at client's site and recommend the use of appropriate substitutes.

* Attend to quality and technical questions from fellow colleagues.

* Planning of work schedule for shutdown projects.

* Allocation of manpower for shutdown projects.

* Conduct product presentation to customer.

* Verify materials for use in manufacturing as specified in the work orders.

* Ensure smooth running of projects from beginning to the end.

* Ensure to meet customer's project deadline within time frame given.

* Ensure stocks are sufficient to support customers during the shutdown project.

* Maintain and housekeep all records of equipment drawings.

* Handle customer's complaint, if any

* Determine and plan training requirement needs of subordinating staff.

* Plan for the staffing requirements and recruitment of new employees if needed.

* Design technical training materials for other departments.

* Any other duties assigned by Business Unit Manager.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of working experience in construction / manufacturing industry
• At least Diploma & above in any discipline
• Possess Class 3 driving license with own transport

• Able to plan / coordinate site works and resolve drawing details and discrepancies.
• Able to liaise with consultants and subcontractors.
• Able to work independently and as a key member of the Site Management.
• Ability to identify potential and occurring problems that affect the schedule of works at site and recommend solutions to relevant team/department.
• Review drawings for conflicts with Structural/M&E and liaising with consultants to resolve issues.
• Ensure all works are carried out within schedule and maintain the required quality.
• Ensure work safe environment at the work site and manage workers.
• Assist Construction/Project Manager in overseeing the daily construction and site coordination of different activities.
• Responsible for preparing, submission and monitoring of technical drawings, method of statements and shop drawings.
• To monitor the progress of work against the baseline schedule & preparation of daily records & monthly site progress reports.
• Responsible for general on-site technical and engineering matters.
• Quality Control.
• Co-ordination of works with subcontractors.
• Liaise with the consultants on technical and quality issues.
• Arrangement for inspection of works.

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related equivalent
• Required skill(s): MS Office, preferable candidate with AutoCad skills

• To assist in contract administration which include cash flow/ budgetary forecasts, cost estimates, cost data analysis, tender evaluation, processing of payments, claims, variation orders and preparation of reports and approval papers
• To ensure that contracts are administered in accordance with executed contract documents

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with internal operation, M&E and Design team for interfacing works affecting architectural items
• Attending meeting with client, consultants or sub-con to discuss all architectural related issues.

Requirements:

· Have experience in engineering life cycle of Power Projects and have gone through all phases of project starting from FEED stage to conceptual and basic design to detailed engineering, procurement, tendering, construction to commissioning.

· Programing skills PLC, SCADA, AUTO CAD

· At least 6 years’ experience in local project

• Candidate must be able to read 2D and 3D drawings
• Candidate must be able to fabricate materials according to drawings
• Candidate must be a team player as well as a leader, he/she must be able to lead his team during major projects
• He must always keep a lookout for his colleagues with regards to safety issues etc

We are looking to employ an Principal Engineer with contemporary engineering skills as well a proven experience in leading an effective team.

Duties

· Take a leading role managing delivery of our engineering projects;

· Plan, design, and coordinate such as civil projects and building projects, engineering design works for local projects covering a wide variety of work nature,

· Ensure all engineering solutions comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices,

· Lead and manage the in-house engineering team ensuring engineering services follow best practices,

Basic Requirements:

· Degree in Civil Engineering, must be recognized by Singapore Professional Engineering Board (PEB Singapore),

· 10 years or more of relevant experience in engineering design;

· Hands-on civil, structural and/or geotechnical expertise;

· Familiar with all aspects of the design submissions process for various types of projects in Singapore;

· Proven experience in team leadership, good interpersonal and communication skills;

. completed at least one LTA job from Tender Stage till completion stage.

. Less Eexperience will be considered as Senior Engineer or Principle Engineer.
