Responsibilities

• Defining test plans, analyzing device performance, and contributing to the development of next-generation products.
• Define design verification test plans, analyze device performance, and provide feedback for design improvements.
• Perform detailed characterization of active and passive integrated photonic devices at the chip-level and wafer-level.
• Develop software for data post-processing.
• Participate in R&D projects for the development of next-generation products.
• Hands-on experience in characterizing active and passive integrated photonic devices, including various optical-optical (OO), electro-optical (EO), and optoelectronic (OE) measurements at DC and AC levels.
• Expertise in optical alignment and electrical probing procedures.
• Experience in test setup development, maintenance, and equipment resourcing.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Be a part of a team that maintains, implements, and validates embedded software for Realtek's latest IoT SoCs

· Design application-level middleware to simplify the customer development process

· Port new features, capabilities, and platforms to Realtek IoT SoCs

· Prototype innovative IoT applications using various network protocols, tools, and open source software

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related majors

· Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

· Experience with C/C++ and a scripting language(Python/Bash/etc.) is a must

· Experience with embedded system drivers, peripherals, computer networks, wireless connectivities, and open source development platforms (Arduino, PlatformIO, etc.)

• Responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of all electrical related works at site
• Detailed design of all Electrical related works
• Interpret tender drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to design of the Electrical works
• Manage directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the electrical work groups at site
• Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works
• Support the Construction Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the electrical groups at site
• Ensure that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards
• Ensure that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards
• Directly responsible for the safety of all electrical group personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

Technical

• Design, integration & coordination, installation & commissioning of mechanical systems and services required for the project
• Liaise with Construction/Installation Manager to ensure job is on schedule on Site.
• Liaise with Client on all technical aspects of the project.
• Provides engineering advice for the Construction/Installation Team.
• Attend meetings with client on all disciplines of the work (i.e. 1 etc.) as required.
• Prepares with the Quality Manager all Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures.
• Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
• Coordination & integration of the design with other engineering design disciplines & services
• Ensure project timetabling requirements are met
• Development / production of inspection & test and operating & maintenance manual documentation.
• Ensure local regulatory and OHS requirements are maintained
• Ensure that the surveys of installations throughout the project are conducted in a professional manner with all results being reviewed and accepted by UGL. All actions resulting from these surveys are coordinated by the Engineer until completion.
• Provide written reports on engineering activities as required by the Project Manager.
• Mentor Engineering Graduates and Engineering Vacation Students (Engineering Assistant)
• Maintain documentation and registers
• Provide monthly reporting data to the Engineering Manager as required

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer within a similar industry.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering with more than 5 years’ experience in basic design requirements, fabrication, installation, T&C and all site activities related to all electrical works.
• Familiar with all electrical engineering methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment, materials, consumables and tool allocations related to electrical works.
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team and manage numerous activities / projects simultaneously – both short and long term.
• Ability to work on own initiative and with the minimum of supervision
• Outgoing personality essential for dealing directly with Clients and their design team

Essential Job Functions

As an Assistant Experience Engineer, you play a pivotal role in developing exhibits and experience, ensuring they operate at the highest level for the enjoyable experience for our guests.

Your responsibilities include the following:

- Exhibit checks, reporting, troubleshooting and maintenance of exhibits/exhibitions

- Carry out periodic image back-ups of our exhibits, maintaining the exhibition network and administration of the team’s knowledge management database (storage FTP server)

- Set-up and takedown of Exhibitions

- Exhibit Ideation and Prototyping

- Work on Exhibit Specifications (including providing technical advice for development projects)

Requirements

Knowledge and work experience in the following areas will be an advantage.

Diploma in Industrial Design/Product Design:

· Machining, mechanical assembly works, electrical and electronic systems, digital prototyping using CAD (computer-aided Design) software.

· Rapid prototyping, addictive and subtractive fabrication of spare parts and components for exhibits, exhibit housing and experiences.

· Operating woodworking machines such as, the bench saw, planer, routers and stand drill.

· Wood/plastics fabrication works

OR

Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent:

· Familiarity with troubleshooting basic computer hardware faults, diagnose software issues within an exhibit and resolve them

Other Skills/Abilities

Having a strong interest in taking apart or fixing things, coupled with the ability to handle basic equipment and tools useful in carrying out the duties within the galleries.
