We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, storage administration, and multi-vendor environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in managing AWS and Azure platforms, optimizing cloud resources, and ensuring high availability and performance of cloud-based systems. This role involves managing cloud deployments, performing storage performance tuning, and working closely with cross-functional teams for seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management Administration and management of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services: EC2, S3, Route53, CloudFormation, Elastic IPs, VPC, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Configuring and managing Elastic Load Balancers (ELB) with EC2 Auto Scaling groups for high availability and scalability.
• Creating and managing multi-AZ VPC instances for fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
• Expertise in storage solutions from multiple vendors, including EMC, Hitachi (AMS, HUS, VSP, Gx00 series), and NetApp.
• Performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of storage arrays to ensure efficient data management.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex storage issues.
• Cloud Optimization and PerformanceOptimizing AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes based on client requirements, ensuring cost efficiency and performance.

Required Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments.

Introduction to The Centre for Precision Fermentation and Sustainability:

The Centre for Precision Fermentation and Sustainability (PreFerS) is a research program hosted by the Illinois Advanced Research Center at Singapore Ltd. (Illinois ARCS). The program aims to develop advanced fundamental sciences and technologies to implement fermentation-based production of foods and food ingredients, and also to enhance food security and sustainability in Singapore, particularly addressing the micronutrient food insecurity through precision fermentation.

About This Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of precision fermentation and sustainability, focusing on developing innovation fermentation process and sustainable practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on research aimed at addressing global challenges in food production, environmental sustainability, and bioengineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Undertake these responsibilities in the project:

i. Design, plan and conduct laboratory experiments, carry out data analyses, record the outcome of the

experiments, and write up the results of own research as well as research progress with minimum

supervision

ii. Communicate research outcomes through technical reports and presentations

iii. Assist in any other duties that are delegated by the Principal Investigator

• Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.

Job Requirements:
