Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible as the lead for the overall Mechanical engineering project activities.
• Responsible for optimized Mechanical engineering man hour utilization within the project.
• Coordinate between the other trades & internal for engineering integration.
• Coordinate with Project Lead on Project Engineering’s & Procurement Schedule.
• Prepare & Review Equipment Technical Specification based on Owner’s Contractual Requirement, Classification bodies, and all relevant authorities.
• Review Vendors’ Technical Specification/ drawings to ensure completeness & correctness with our requirement.
• Prepare & Review Equipment Parameter & Mandatory Calculation.
• Prepare & Review Piping Schematics (P&ID).
• Prepare & Review Machinery & HVAC Layout, Equipment Installation & Alignment.
• Prepare & Review Mechanical design and construction standard.
• Review 2D and 3D for piping detail and production design.
• Prepare & Review Testing Protocol & Operation Manual.
• Guiding and checking Mechanical engineer activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in marine/offshore industry machinery and piping new-building engineering design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and AVEVA.
• Knowledgeable about rules and regulations from Classification Society and Authorities.
• Familiar with the theory and calculations related to marine/offshore mechanical and piping design.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

The responsibility of this position is to lead the project assigned to successful completion within the project schedule & scope as well as obtain the targeted profit and achieve high customer satisfaction.

Piping Design Engineer

Salary Range: $2500 - $3500

Working Days: Mon - Fri (8:15 am–6 pm)

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Team in execution of the project
• Collaborate with the project team to assist in the design and development of Fire Protection System & Modular Skids
• Generate and update technical documentation.
• Prepare & develop system P&ID and conceptual general arrangement drawings
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Attend meetings on coordination & progress matters.
• Prepare drawings with AutoCAD/Solidwork

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, coordination and supervision of ACMV system. This position involves technical activities, independent thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute to the success of our projects. As a key member of our engineering team, the Mechanical Engineer will have exposure to local statutory requirements, industry standards/norm, project management, equipment selection and costings.

Responsibilities

• Involved in design development, drawings and material submissions for approval, QA/ QC works such as inspection,testing & commissioning, handing over of installation.
• Attend meetings and preparation of reports for site progress and schedules. Coordinate site safety management system.
• Liaise and coordinate ACMV installations with main contractor, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Supervision and monitor daily site work done, and plan for catchup as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in construction.
• Experience in ACMV, chilled water system installation and design. Able to perform basis engineering calculation with MS Excel.
• Good communication, independent and can liaise with main contractor and sub-contractors effectively.
• Good understanding of engineering principles and drawings.
