Skills for Success

• Min Diploma holder
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in design roles, with at least 2-5 years in a leadership position at an in-house Creative team or advertising agency. Experience with AI-driven design processes is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
• Able to drive multiple projects from start to finish.
• An expert in design workflows with the ability to execute static ideas into moving visuals flawlessly. Doesn’t hesitate to get into the details, and does not lose sight of the broader strategic intent.
• Strategic thinker; always curious and creatively-minded in every way.
• Able to give and receive feedback positively without taking it too personally. See the value of different perspectives.
• Willing to work occasionally on weekends & public holidays, if required.
• Strong copywriting and presentation skills and be fluent in English.

Job Description

1. Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team, coordinate with client's, consultants and sub-contractors on M&E matters to ensure the works carried out meet the desired quality/workmanship, specifications, code requirements and the projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Manage and lead M&E project teams by outlining and assigning work, reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes.
3. Manage the M&E consultants and M&E SU-contractors to meet project program, design deliverables, and Authority submission and timely approval.
4. Review & verify consultants design drawings, counter propose alternative design and feasibility of construction.
5. Review and value-add to the designs/specifications/drawings submitted by consultants.
6. Ensure the M&E designs comply with relevant codes compliances and regulations.
7. Coordinate with architectural team and structural team to ensure the final design is in-line with architect’s design intents and client’s requirements.
8. Liaise with BIM Manager on the BIM presentations, clash reports, ICE meeting schedules and requirements.
9. Assist and supervise the preparation of M&E coordination and shop drawings for the project to be used on site for construction.
10. Oversee M&E works, conduct inspections on site, monitor shop drawing progress and provide support to construction team.
11. Resolve site issues related to design or changes required by Construction team, to ensure no delay affecting main program.
12. Issuance of RFI & Site-Design Amendments
13. Ensure timely completion and good quality of works
14. Any other ad-hoc duties and tasks as may be assigned

Job Requirements

1. Degree holder in M&E, Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordinator or equivalent
2. Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as M&E manager role. With experience in PPVC D&B projects is a plus
3. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skill.
4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
5. Skill in Autocad & Revit

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible to create concept designs for sales proposal and as well as detail design for confirmed projects.
• Ability in selecting the right components, design of fabrication items as well as working with vendors/sub-con for assigned projects.
• Responsible for planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time and also managing the projects’ budget.
• Exhibit a level of creativity and ingenuity, as well as problem solving skills, to provide reliable, cost-effective solutions to design issues and attend to customers’ enquiries.
• Working with respective project engineer and assembly team on project schedule management, budget management, as well as customer’s review/discussion.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in related process manufacturing
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge of high-level communication protocols and troubleshooting skill
• Good analytical and planning skills
• Able to work under very tight project timeline
• Independent and good team player
• Willingness to travel overseas, as required

Purpose of the Role:

The Design & General Manager at ALBD Living, Singapore, will be pivotal in driving the company’s vision to become the leading boutique full-service Interior Design, Marketing, and Branding Studio. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to ensure operational excellence, financial growth, and the delivery of exceptional design solutions. By fostering innovation, building strong client and supplier relationships, and cultivating a high-performing team, the Design & General Manager will position ALBD Living as a thought leader and a trusted partner in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership:

· Oversee all aspects of the Singapore office, including design, client service, and project execution.

· Manage performance targets, KPIs, and budgets to achieve financial and strategic goals.

· Ensure operational efficiency, optimize processes, and maintain compliance with regulations.

2. Financial Management:

· Achieve EBITA targets (20%) by improving operating ratios, pricing strategies, and supplier relationships.

· Drive financial growth with a minimum benchmark of SGD $3M in revenue within 12 months.

3. Organic Revenue Growth:

· Focus on expanding the Singapore/Australia client base through new acquisitions and enhancing relationships with existing clients.

4. Leadership and Team Development:

· Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team in a collaborative and scalable work environment.

· Conduct workshops and training sessions to develop skills and prepare the team for future growth.

5. Design Excellence:

· Champion innovative and high-quality design solutions aligned with ALBD Living’s brand vision.

· Ensure projects meet exceptional standards for creativity, functionality, timelines, and budgets.

6. Client and Supplier Relationship Management:

· Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.

· Act as a trusted advisor to deliver exceptional service and outcomes.

7. Market Expansion & Positioning:

· Establish ALBD Living as the leading boutique full-service studio in Singapore.

· Develop strategies to maintain thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, and industry awards.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

· 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within the Interior Design, Branding, or Marketing industry.

· Proven track record of achieving financial growth, including meeting revenue targets.

· Demonstrated ability to oversee business operations, including design, project execution, and team leadership.

· Experience in client relationship management and supplier negotiations.

· Strong understanding of financial metrics such as EBITA, cost optimization, and pricing strategies.

· Familiarity with the Singapore and Australia markets is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Understand project requirements and design concepts to translate conceptualise design ideas into drawings
• Prepare layout plan, 2D construction Drawing, shop drawings, section details, space planning in fast-paced work environment
• Work closely with interior designer and sales designer to deliver high quality work
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
• Perform other duties as assigned by the superior

Requirements:

• Junior position at least 1 year and senior position at least 3 years experience
• Passionate in interior design, and able to manage new and existing projects to achieve project objective
• Required Skill(s): Autocad, Photoshop
• Can do attitude and able to multitask & work independently with minimum supervision
• Candidates who can start work immediately or on short notice will have an added advantage (Singaporean & Permanent Resident preferred)
