We are currently looking for a motivated and competent Mechanical Engineer to design our upcoming product.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Super Tomato, you will play a crucial role in designing our next product. You will be responsible for every stage of the process, from ideation and prototyping to design validation, manufacturing, and reliability testing.

Your task will be to solve a given problem statement and conduct research to 3D print, test, and eventually bring it for fabrication and final assembly.

Your experience with mechanisms will be critical as it is required in significant part of our projects.

This product will have a significant impact on the public, as it will be deployed in high-traffic areas. You will be able to build a robust portfolio and showcase your skills.

Qualifications

Having prior experience in designing mechanisms is highly desirable for this position. In addition, if you possess experience working with systems that are involved in food handling, that would be a great advantage.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Assume a technical expertise in assessing sites, conducting detailed drawings, and estimating Solar project capacity and costs.
• Formulate comprehensive design specifications and functional requirements for the region, ensuring alignment with project needs.
• Complete system designs for projects including site plans, mechanical racking and attachment plans, single-line electrical drawings, specification of balance of system location and interconnection details.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of factors influencing system performance.
• Partner with the O&M Team to evaluate system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform software simulations of solar photovoltaic (PV) system performance & energy production
• Execute design calculations, encompassing voltage drop analysis, fault current assessments, and system optimization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with EPC contract specifications and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and optimizing project outcomes including on-site engineering support.
• Collaborate closely with contractors to review and approve engineering drawing submissions, maintaining rigorous quality control standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering discipline
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Solar PV system design / engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Lead in Mechanical and Engineering Design for Process Development or Product Design or Engineering solutions
• Create proof of concepts
• Generate engineering drawing with proper GD&T and Tolerance Stack up
• Define test requirements needed for all the designed products
• Perform Patent search for possible design infringement
• Drive Projects with tight timeline
• Any other duties as and when assigned
• Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / industrial engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Good exposure in Plastic Injection molding parts design
• Knowledge of product design, engineering plastics behaviour, product certification
• Knowledge of CAE simulation will be an added advantage
• Competent in Engineering calculations
• Hands on 3D CAD & CAE experience
• Good problem-solving skills with strong technical acumen

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of analog design and able to lead, attend and present at design review meetings with teams worldwide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Circuit design of wireline transceiver building blocks (PLL, clock distribution, receiver front-end, transmitter front-end, serializer, deserializer, etc.)
• Conduct peer reviews of circuit design and verification results
• Working with validation team to evaluate silicon results

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Extensive experience with high speed analog design with blocks like ADC, PLL, clock distribution, receiver front-end, transmitter front-end, serializer, deserializer.
• Experience with latest process technologies like 7nm or below Finfet technology.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors/Masters/Phd Degree in Electronic Engineering
