Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality engineering, particularly in manufacturing and design quality.
• Proven experience in mechanical processes, including metal stamping, forging, brazing, die casting, CNC machining, milling, and knowledge of tooling and the design/manufacture of fixtures and jigs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and standards.
• Six Sigma certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work abroad in China and Vietnam for at least 10 months per year (includes four round-trip tickets to Singapore annually and separate arrangements for living accommodations).

Functional Competencies:

1. Perform review of marine construction, equipment of drawings / document according to applicable rules, regulations and delegations.

Requirements:

1. Degree qualified in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 years relevant working experience on Marine and Offshore related field.
2. Minimum delegation level 1 within area of specialization: Hull, Machinery, Electrical / Automation, Safety, Stability / TLO.

• Prepare work schedule.
• Prepare P/O or W/O for suppliers and tradesmen.

Job Description

Reporting to the Project Manager/Engineering Manager, successful applicants will be involved in Power supply system and switching mode power supply development activities such as electrical circuit design, magnetic design, prototyping, evaluation and assisting manufacturing in BETA run of the new product.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirement to design or modify XP product to provide Added Value (AV) Solution based on XP design criteria and procedure
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all XP products to identify and select the most suitable product for Engineering Solution design.
• Design new products in timely manner to meet the product spec, modify existing designs, improve existing products for better performance and /or cost
• Proposed AV or modified solution based on sales/customer requirements.
• Perform product verification & validation test such as electrical performance, thermal, EMC and DVT to ensure product meet specification before delivered to customer.
• Electrical circuit and schematic design
• Embedded systems design both in hardware
• Firmware design knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Bill of materials (BOM) creation and documentation.
• Breadboard and prototype samples making and debugging
• Design new solution/product within XP standard design practice, safety guidelines, agreed timescales and costs.
• Performed product (AV and modified model) verification and validation, such as electrical performance, thermal, EMC and DVT evaluations,
• There will be some travelling required in conjunction with customer and manufacturing support as well as outside training

Qualifications

Knowledge/Qualifications/Attributes

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic or higher degree in a related engineering field.
• More than 3 years electrical design experience of power supply/power system; those with more than 5 years’ experience will be considered for senior position.
• For Senior position, Identifies, and review projects main task, schedules, and technical challenges on project delivery timely is required.
• Good project management skill and capable of leading long-term structured problem-solving projects for senior position.
• Familiarity with PCB design using Altium/PADS will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Machinery/ Piping new-building engineering design.
• Familiar with Auto-CAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA
• Familiar with Rules and Regulation from Classification Society and Authorities.
• Familiar with theory and calculation of marine/offshore Mechanical & Piping Design.

- Responsible of designing the Electrical system required to operate facility projects.

- Ensure smooth and proper execution of projects/contracts

- Supervision of construction works and co-ordinate with client’s representation, consultants and sub-contractors on technical issues

- Ensure quality of work is achieved and compliance of safety regulations

- Report schedule to Project Manager

- Attend site meeting with contractor on co-ordination and resolution of site problems.
