Overall Job Objectives

Assists the PM to oversee the construction activities, progress, planning, implementing, and monitoring of work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work programme

Core Responsibilities

1. Attend site meetings and inspection

2. Preparation of documentation including project status report, method of statement and work procedure for the project.

3. Planning, executing, monitoring and control of the project.

4. Liaising and coordinating with all parties such as clients, consultants, consultants’ representatives, site supervisors, and sub-contractors

5. Handing of technical and engineering problems

6. Supervise ongoing site activities closely

7. Ensuring that the quality control of the project is met

8. Ensure that all the construction safety rules and regulations are being observed

9. Prepare necessary work and safety permits, submission documents and drawings once work are completed.

10. Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Job Specifications

1. Degree in Engineering or related disciplines

2. Able to read/understand/execute work based on construction drawings

3. Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

4. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job)

In charge of the execution of all Solar Installation works inclusive of planning, scheduling, controlling, coordination and ensure works carried out are in accordance to approved shop drawings / specification and complete within the completion date. In addition, budget control and contract administration.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
(A) Specific :

• Evaluate costing received for electrical works.
• Vet through shop drawings to ensure all are in compliance to technical specifications / authority requirements prior to submission.
• Liaise and have meetings with Clients and Consultants on technical resolution / clarification, inspection and submission.
• To be the lead contact point for all Project issues.
• To attend weekly site meeting.
• To build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationship and meet Client’s expectations.
• To manage, coordinate, work and oversee all workers, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure proper work execution and good workmanship.
• To plan, implement, track the work progress and submit weekly progress report so as to ensure that the project executed is on time and within budget.
• To monitor project cost including variation works and submission of supporting documents.

(B) General :

• To prepare and submit progress reports.
• To maintain proper documentation for all projects.
• To coordinate and work with other departments.
• To engage, coordinate and oversee all project works to ensure successful completion and handing over to Clients.
• Other duties as assigned.

(C) Safety:

• To follow the safety procedures, rules and regulations and eliminate or reduce hazard at the work place.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training :

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.

(B) Knowledge & Skills :

• Well-versed with installation of M&E services and builder’s works.
• Experience in Design and Delivery Execution of Solar System Works and Load Sizing Of Solar Systems.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Independent & Team player.
• Proactive and able to take initiative.
• Good in negotiation.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• PC literate and knowledge in MS Office.

(C) Experience :

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences.

1. Manage the team of RTOs, supervision of site set up, earth works, drainage works and reinstatement works

2. Report to Qualified Person

3. Prepare weekly reports and monthly reports.

4. Attend the meeting with client and consultants

5. Report any non-compliances to Qualified Person
