Job Description

• Oversee the entire ICA design process, from concept to implementation, ensuring project is delivered on
• time, within specifications and meeting industrial standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of ICA engineers and ensuring the quality in design work.
• Oversee the development of control logic, CMS programming, HMI interfaces, and Sub-Control systems, ensuring seamless communication and synchronisation of control components.
• Oversee the selection of instrumentation, sensors, and transmitters for accurate data acquisition, measurement, and feedback control.

• Min. of Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Process Control & Instrumentation, Automation Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 15 years of relevant ICA engineering experience in the planning, design, SAT/FAT and construction of major waste to energy, water, wastewater, process plant projects or similar major industrial projects. The Design Lead has robust experience in managing a team of suitably experienced Design Engineers and Technicians and interfacing with Client, Suppliers and Subcontractors.

1. Attend consultant and site meetings with the Project Team, coordinate with client's, consultants and sub-contractors on M&E matters to ensure the works carried out meet the desired quality/workmanship, specifications, code requirements and the projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Manage and lead M&E project teams by outlining and assigning work, reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes.
3. Manage the M&E consultants and M&E SU-contractors to meet project program, design deliverables, and Authority submission and timely approval.
4. Review & verify consultants design drawings, counter propose alternative design and feasibility of construction.
5. Review and value-add to the designs/specifications/drawings submitted by consultants.
6. Ensure the M&E designs comply with relevant codes compliances and regulations.
7. Coordinate with architectural team and structural team to ensure the final design is in-line with architect’s design intents and client’s requirements.
8. Liaise with BIM Manager on the BIM presentations, clash reports, ICE meeting schedules and requirements.
9. Assist and supervise the preparation of M&E coordination and shop drawings for the project to be used on site for construction.
10. Oversee M&E works, conduct inspections on site, monitor shop drawing progress and provide support to construction team.
11. Resolve site issues related to design or changes required by Construction team, to ensure no delay affecting main program.
12. Issuance of RFI & Site-Design Amendments
13. Ensure timely completion and good quality of works
14. Any other ad-hoc duties and tasks as may be assigned

Job Requirements

1. Degree holder in M&E, Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordinator or equivalent
2. Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as M&E manager role. With experience in PPVC D&B projects is a plus
3. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skill.
4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
5. Skill in Autocad & Revit

Roles & Responsibilities

• To work as the Design Engineer to our LTA projects.
• To review of contractor’s Design and Construction submission and comment.
• To assist the SDE in the review of design submissions.
• To attend design meeting and all other relevant meetings as and when required.
• To give suggestion in construction sequence based on the design reviews.
• To follow PGI on rotational basis with the SDE.
• To review Shop Drawings and comment if any.
• To prepare Independent Design Reports.
• To visit site and review compliance with design requirements.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of relevant experience on projects similar in nature to the Works in the Civil Contract.
• At least five (5) years in the design of structural and/or geotechnical works for deep excavation projects of a similar size and complexity.
• Experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi discipline project team.
• Experience in minimum facility platform design and including the substructure, topsides and bridges.
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of team.
• Familiarity of Singapore local codes & standards.
