As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Enlitho, you will fulfill a crucial role in the development and integration of systems for manufacturing micro-nano devices.

Core Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Designing and developing system specifications and requirements and performing engineering design calculations
• Analysis and preparation of detailed drawings for machine layout, components and sub-assemblies
• Drafting of necessary documentation detailing system design, test procedures, results, bill of materials, project planning, etc.
• Engaging with vendors for fabrication of parts and procurement of components and hardware relevant to the system
• Contribute to system testing, assembly, calibration and maintenance.

Background

The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience (3 years for diploma holders) in mechanical or automated system design and a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a similarly relevant discipline.

Ideal Skillsets

The ideal candidate possesses the following skillsets:

• Proficiency and experience in 2D & 3D CAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of structures and materials
• Experience and familiarity with machine control hardware such as motors, sensors, robots, motion and I/O controllers, as well as machine vision hardware such as cameras, lighting, lenses, etc.
• Strong background in the design and construction of mechanical systems, preferably in automated systems design
• Core IT literacy and proficiency with MS Office Applications

The following will be considered a bonus:

• Relevant experience with micro-fabrication, microfluidics or other similar micro-nano devices
• Relevant experience with semiconductor processes (lithography, etc.)
• Relevant experience with manufacturing and process line development

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and verify new products to meet product and process development requirements.
• Ownership of analog circuits used in SerDes, including evaluation of different circuit topologies for specific product requirements (e.g., Rx, CDR, Tx, bias generator, clock generation and distribution, etc.).
• Get along with multi-functional teams to define requirements/specs (e.g., modeling, package, board, DFT, ESD, etc.)
• Provide technical support to manufacturing during pilot, runs/tests.
• Craft block-level specifications based on link-budget, behavioral modeling, and transistor-level feasibility.
• Work closely with mask design to implement layout view of designs.
• Hold design reviews of blocks with peers/management to show design meets spec targets and requirements.
• Participate in projects and other adhoc duties assigned

Skills/Experience:

• Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Deep knowledge in high-speed SerDes protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, SATA, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of analog CMOS designs and topologies.
• Deep experience with Tx & Rx equalization techniques and circuits.
• Deep experience in analyzing link jitter budget for high-speed serial links and creating block level requirements.
• Strong knowledge of different CDR architectures.
• Experience in lab testing of high-speed serial links and defining equipment needs
