Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years PQE with law degree and license to practice.
• Fluent written and spoken English (any ASEAN language proficiency a non-essential “plus”).
• Experience and familiarity with matrixed MNC Management structures (if in-house background, must have been with MNC, if law firm background, must have directly and frequently interacted with and preferably integrated with Management in MNCs as clients).
• Interest in and some experience of being team leader and developer of people.

About This Role

As the Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our SaaS platform - Circles X. This is not a typical sales role, it’s an opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking team that is reimagining the telco industry.

Sales Coverage: APAC; specific accounts and/or territory would be assigned based on priority.

Desired Outcomes:

• Lead large and strategic telco accounts and be responsible to deliver on the sales KPIs e.g. new funnel creation, timely opportunity progression and closure of accounts.
• Steer sales strategic direction and plan, collaboratively developing and executing this with the cross functional teams, with the eye on growth and increasing market share.
• Build and enhance C-suite relationships with both existing and new clients/accounts – new account development will be critical to the success of this role and Circles X’s growth plans.
• Establish a structured sales methodology and process, including opportunity validation, pursuit & closure, and a strong sales operating cadence.
• Optimize sales tools and provide greater visibility and actionable data for targeted sales efforts.
• Become a thought leader in the Telco vertical SaaS space by establishing credibility and bringing an informed POV on best practices and trends.

What we are looking for:

• 15+ years of APAC sales experience in telco SaaS software business, with extensive exposure to telecom operators across multiple markets.
• Has strong existing network with C-suite executives in client organizations and track record in building C-suite relationships.
• Solution/consultative selling in the domain of BSS to Telco clients.
• Analytical mindset, strong problem solving, should be able to challenge the status quo with a quantitative point of view.
• Strong believer and doer of value based selling methodology, be comfortable working on business cases and explaining the same at C level to Telco clients.
• Track record of closing large and complex B2B deals (i.e. long sales cycle, multiple decision makers with large deal value) with a value of USD 7-10 mio ARR; delivered 2x growth in the initial few years of growth phase.
• Has delivered on growth through channel partnerships/ strategic alliances / advisors.
• Willingness to adapt and learn in a rapidly changing environment.

The Opportunity

The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) is looking for a Deputy Director (Government Projects), to coordinate and drive successful delivery of the Institute’s global portfolio of technical projects, while developing and growing strategic partnerships with government partners and key stakeholders.

The right candidate will have notable qualifications and experience in public policy and government administration, consultancy, team leadership, project management and delivery, stakeholder engagement and international partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Director (Government Projects), the Government Projects team and CIG Regional Offices to scope, design, lead and successfully deliver technical projects in partnership with government agencies
• Work with governance and public administration experts in CIG’s Faculty and Expert Network to design, validate and implement practical tools to improve public sector governance (these tools will be deployed during project work)
• Proactively propose and implement initiatives (e.g. MOUs and engagement platforms) to develop and expand expert communities of practice, to support CIG’s technical projects

Experience and Qualifications

• Graduate and postgraduate qualifications from reputable institutions in areas such as political science, comparative politics, economics and/or law
• At least 4 years’ progressive experience in government and public policy
• At least 4 years’ progressive experience in consulting or advisory work
• Good track record of effective and empathetic team leadership and staff development
• Good track record of successful management of a multi-country portfolio of concurrent projects
• Good track record of project design, management and delivery to a high standard of quality
