JOB SUMMARY

• Treasury CRO acts as the 2LoD to the Treasury function and performs a Risk advisory, review and challenge and risk oversight role across Capital, Liquidity, and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book, Recovery & Resolution, Intragroup Credit and Enterprise/Asia Stress Testing providing recommendations to key Committees and Senior Management, where relevant.
• The function partners with the 1LoD to provide a better risk outcome and optimisation of the balance sheet whilst at the same time provide a strong 2LoD with independent objective recommendations and in line with regulatory feedback / expectations in strengthening risk management and resilience for the Group balance sheet.
• The function covers the following risk types as they pertain to Treasury related activity: Capital, Liquidity, IRRBB, Intragroup Funding, Treasury Market Risk, Recovery & Resolution and Stress Testing / Reverse Stress Testing. The function provides oversight on limit setting, monitoring, and breach escalation, as well as performs bi-annual reviews of limits.

• This role will get direct access to the Country (Malaysia) Asset-Liability Committees (ALCOs) and will link in key initiatives that have been rolled by the Treasury Risk CRO office. In doing so, the expectation is that this role will also help mitigate challenges related to Treasury Risks highlighted in the Country ALCOs and provide guidance on key strategic and regulatory areas such as Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) exercises.
• Perform as a ‘best in class’ CRO function with the skills and expertise to deal with and challenge technical areas across the Treasury business lines and products.
• Spot opportunities to improve and contribute to synergies across the Risk Function covering Treasury Risk, Capital, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Traded Market Risk, Model Validation, and Stress Testing.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a strong challenge process in a constructive way in the functioning of Treasury Markets, Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk and Capital Management across the SCB footprints and at the Group / Solo level

Job Description:

• Foster and promote R&D collaboration between companies/agencies with researchers'/research units in A*STAR SRTT, to drive impactful outcomes working closely with the SIBER SRTT Programme Director (PD) and the Scientific Programme Manager (SPgM).
• Work closely with the SIBER SRTT PD, SPgM, Principal Investigators and Research Scientists to handle commercial collaboration agreements and ensure compliances are met accordingly to A*STAR practices and policies. Identify market opportunities and prepare market intelligence information to the SIBER SRTT PD, SPgM to facilitate decision-making and occasionally convinces others where strong interests exists to adopt new concepts and approaches.
• Work with I&E IPM to handle filed IPs generated from A*STAR SRTT.
• Work with I&E Industry cluster through grant applications for productization, licensing or formation of new spin off. The person should also be supporting project management of projects establish through the collaborations.
• Compile, update and maintain marketing materials on SIBER SRTT technologies for industry engagements.
• Relevant ad-hoc duties as required by SPgM.

Requirements:

• Master or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering Sciences or equivalent.
• 5 years of industry/agency experience, with 3-5 years in a business development and/or technical strategic planning and execution role.
• Candidates with experience and knowledge in advanced scientific concepts and cutting-edge technologies, synthetic biology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, chemistry, bioinformatics or other related fields, will have an advantage.
• Experience in project management in an R&D, Technology and/or Operations environment, interfacing with private and public sector agencies would be a plus.
• Excellent oral and writing skills

Recruitment:

• Manage manpower needs by sourcing, identifying, and selecting suitable candidates that match the hotel's profiles.

• Conduct Board of Inquiry for disciplinary issues and recommend actions to maintain staff discipline.
• Foster and maintain a positive relationship with the union, liaise with union officials on industrial relations matters, and resolve grievances in line with legal requirements.
• Develop and implement HR and industrial relations policies, guidelines, and practices for the hotel.
• Review employee-related activities to ensure compliance with local legislation, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Network with other hotel HR practitioners to stay aligned on salary administration, compensation, and benefits.

Training:

• Work closely with Department Heads to assess training and development needs, maintaining open communication to improve employee skills, attitudes, and knowledge.
• Monitor training expenses to ensure they stay within budget.
• Prepare monthly and yearly reports on training activities.
• Oversee the maintenance of training records and ensure they are updated regularly.

Welfare:

Responsibilities

• Strategise and create multi-channel marketing plans to deliver on lead generation campaigns for various client accounts. Channels include farming and email/Whatsapp marketing to existing bases, paid advertising community marketing, events and partnerships, telesales, offline promoters, etc.
• Brief, project, manage, and oversee the quality of work from a team of performance specialists, CRM specialists, data processing specialists, copywriters and designers, to deliver on campaigns. If needed, source for suppliers/freelancers and onboard them.
• Forecast budget/CPL and timelines for campaigns.
• Constantly monitor performance across multiple campaigns, and be agile in moving resources across campaigns or changing creatives/channels as needed, understanding drop-out points throughout the journey and troubleshoot accordingly, ultimately ensuring all deliverables are submitted on time and spend is within budget.

Job Responsibilities

Systems office for Asia (ASO) seeks a strong candidate to manage APAC region-wide IT finance (~US$150M), meeting our bank-wide and IT focused organizational demands and objectives.

He/she pursues our cost transformation initiatives by enhancing the design of Financial and Management Accounting Processes and frameworks.

He/she is expected to drive the strong leadership to transform our control mechanism by implementing the industry led financial tools, with a deep understanding of our underlying process.

He/she is expected to have a strong, collaborative relationship and work with respective regional leadership teams including IT development teams, Project teams, procurement department and branch representatives to effectively manage the overall IT finance across APAC. This extends to the close communication with Head Office IT finance team in Tokyo, Japan to understand and meet their expectations.

This role acts as IT Finance director, providing a timely update to our APAC CIO, APAC regional executive as well as Global senior executives to propose and suggest the financial aspects upon making the organizational judgement and directions.

1. Understand and align with bank’s global as well as APAC regional IT cost strategy.

Lead IT finance team as a director position. IT finance includes to manage investment (CAPEX) and expense (OPEX) budget allocated by the global head quarter to maximize our APAC IT capabilities.

2. Budget planning

Logical analysis and persuasive discussion with all the stakeholders are expected. For CAPEX budget management, prioritize and optimize initiatives by evaluating necessity, ROI, and business strategies. For OPEX budget management, establish a comprehensive budget covering various expenses through collaboration with stakeholders using both top-down and bottom-up approaches. Aim for cost optimization in line with the bank-wide competitive cost mindset.

3. Financial reporting and analysis through the fiscal year

Assess the monthly budget utilization progress, and expect the candidate to put the effective strategy across APAC countries to ensure the organization uses the allocated budget wisely enough to maximize our benefit for both OPEX and CAPEX budget.

4. Process automation and analytical data assessment

Currently ASO involves primitive spreadsheet control to gather financial data and to provide the analysis on the data. Considering the growing demands of various dimensional views, analytical tool as well as streamlined process are expected. To reflect ASO organization finance status, expect the candidate to provide strong leadership to achieve this process transformation.
