JOB DESCRIPTION

• Plan, organize and manage the procurement and supplier management processes for the assigned plants, projects and tender support under Energy-as a Service in Singapore and overseas.

JOB DESCRIPTION

THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

Defence Collective Singapore (DCS) manages the Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC), the SAF museums and the future National Service (NS)-Themed Gallery to meet MINDEF/SAF’s objectives to strengthen commitment to Singapore and community support for NS / defence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the effective operational management of SDC to enhance visitor experience and visitorship.
• Develop SDC’s strategic long-term plans and multi-year budget requirements to achieve SDC’s objectives in discussion with DCS HQ.
• Manage SDC’s operations to ensure a high standard of visitor experience and effective management of SDC’s facilities and assets.
• Management and oversight of projects in SDC.
• Co-develop SDC’s branding and marketing strategies and materials with DCS HQ.
• Enhance and customise public programmes to better cater to SDC’s needs and improve public engagement.
• Management of SDC’s Volunteers and social media.
• Oversee, manage and grow SDC members.
• Ensure that all procurement policies are adhered to and all financial documents are in order before submission to DCS HQ for endorsement.
• Lead talent management and development to ensure SDC’s current and future capability and people requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain effective relations with relevant counterparts in the local and overseas attractions, museums and defence community.

Requirements:

• Bachelor / Professional Degree (Business / Finance degree preferred).
• Min 15 years working experience with 10 years in managerial role.
• Candidate must possess strong people management skills and preference will be given to those with working experience in attractions/ museum/ gallery related organisations.
• Good knowledge of operations management, events management, marketing, public engagement, building and facilities management.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and agility.

JOB SUMMARY

The Data Strategy & Reporting Manager will be responsible for creating & maintaining data pipelines, and the platforms that support said pipelines. He/She will be required to generate a strong understanding of data from a multitude of internal/external platforms, and create pipelines (automated, where possible) that support further downstream reporting/analysis.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The experience, skills and knowledge and education/certification components of the Candidate Profile should be presented as preferences rather than requirements unless an individual would not be hired for the position without these. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for years of experience.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or relevant field)
• Hands on experience developing corporate reports, dashboards and reporting visualizations (2+ years)
• Experience in working with, developing, and maintaining data pipelines/databases (2+ years)
• Preferred: Experience in working with cloud services/platforms and APIs (2+ years)

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

• Expertise in data visualization and dashboard creation to support downstream business analysis in Microsoft Power BI
• Expertise in database query languages (i.e. SQL) and cloud/on-premise database management, ability to manage mid to large-sized corporate databases
• Expertise in Python or related programming languages to support advanced analytics
• Experience in consolidating and processing complex data sets (ETL/ELT, data validation techniques)
• Fluent in written and oral communication in English

• Experience working with Snowflake cloud databases and SnowSQL
