You will be responsible for reviewing the existing system, evaluating alternative ERP solutions, and, if necessary, planning and executing an upgrade. This candidate will manage a team of engineers and developers in the deployment and support of our business systems and lead the team to implement customizations and new capabilities to fulfill users’ and customers’ needs.

• Lead and manage a team to provide Level 1 and 2 ERP system support, resolve operational issues, and offer technical guidance.

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU

• A minimum of two (2) ERP implementation experiences
• 5+ years managing SAP systems
• Proficient in SAP modules (FICO, WM, QA, MM, PP, SD)
• Knowledge of SAP Basis and ABAP programming.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects, especially ERP implementations or upgrades.
• Skilled in project planning, control, and ensuring timely system rollouts.
• Up-to-date with business developments to maintain the relevance of systems.
• Capable of developing structured processes for sustainable system operations.
• Strong communication skills to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Effective leadership and team management abilities to drive team success.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex systems and processes.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA
• Several years of direct people managing experience
• Proficiency in Chinese for effective internal & external stakeholder communication and business correspondence

You will be a key member of the R&D Digital Translation team established under the Singapore Maritime Institute. The R&D Digital Translation team develops and operates digital and cyber products and translates R&D projects to real world implementations for the maritime industry.

You will collaborate with fellow product owners, scrum masters, developers, solutions architect and infra engineers to deliver leading-edge digital products to meet the business requirements of the maritime community. You will work with the product owner to define the product strategy and roadmap, gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements and working closely with the product engineering team or vendors to deliver quality digital products. You are pro-active, self-motivated and resourceful team member with good technical or digital knowledge and possess strong influencing and people handling skills. You are constantly looking at new ways to apply digital technologies to meet business needs and can handle multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop the product strategy, roadmap, business operating model and pricing strategy.

2. Design, develop and manage activities from product definition & planning to product implementation and release.

3. Analyse product performance and redesign as required.

4. Managing the prioritisation and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, performance and post-launch support.

5. Work with business analysts, developers and/or vendors to ensure timely and quality release of product/enhancements.

Requirements

1. Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information/Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or related discipline.

2. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.

3. Strong vendor and stakeholder management.

4. Candidates with experience in Product Management and Project Management or Agile related certifications such as CITPM, COMIT or PMI, Certified Scrum Master will be an added advantage.

5. Strong analytical, conceptualization and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to present clearly both verbally and in written form.

6. Motivated by innovation to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction.
