Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner

Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients

Overseeing all kitchen operations

Job Description:

• Manages the flow of service to ensure maximum Safety, Cleanliness, Quality, and Speed, while simultaneously upholding brand standards of Hospitality in all interactions.Safety: Conducts food safety checks with integrity, enforces proper food safety procedures, and ensures that the facility and equipment are maintained well and secured to ensure the safety of employees and guests.
  Cleanliness: Maintains all areas of the restaurant to the highest level of cleanliness while on pre-shift, during shift and post-shift.
  Quality: Enforces brand standards for all prepped and finished items, including all cooking procedures.
  Speed: Leads the team and adapt to different situations swiftly to ensure optimal customer service experience.
  Hospitality: Interacts with customers frequently and graciously, and is responsible for providing the team with empathy and support.
• Manages team’s each and every individuals’ shortcomings/weak points through training; planning of development and growth, and discipline for better progression when appropriate.
• Ensure training programs are thoughtfully scheduled and completed according to plan by using one-to-one coaching and training.
• Conducting of interviews, evaluating talent and recruiting resources appropriately.
• Guiding employees through the training manual – from orientation to certifications.
• Manages all support functions (i.e. Marketing, Purchasing, Inventory, HR, Payroll, P&L Analysis etc.) at the store to ensure smooth operations and financial health of the business.
• Stock-count regularly and placing vendor orders to ensure sufficient stocks in store.
• Schedules and deploy employees accordingly to business and manpower needs.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in F&B or qualification in F&B, Retail, Hospitality or Culinary

Manage Service Staff and Partners On-Site

• Supervise service staff responsible for shelving, shelf-reading, handling customer queries, and backroom operations.
• Ensure service staff are updated on work processes, policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback, and highlight issues or commendations to the Team Leader and Library Manager, including patron complaints and compliments.
• Consolidate and submit monthly feedback on vendor performance to the Manager.
• Act as the primary liaison for volunteers at the branch.

Oversee On-Site Systems and Building Maintenance

• Report system access issues and required maintenance.
• Ensure daily checks of system functionality by service staff and report faults as needed.
• Troubleshoot system-related issues.
• Manage IT equipment and system asset housekeeping.
• Report, track, and follow up on building/site faults and maintenance issues.
• Ensure library facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for use.

Collection Promotion and Maintenance

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager on collection promotion and upkeep.
• Monitor and analyze collection performance.
• Ensure items are shelved within the stipulated timeline.
• Follow up on damaged, incomplete, or mismatched collection items.
• Process and remove decommissioned books from the library collection.

Handle Customer Queries

• Support the Library Manager in addressing customer feedback.
• Communicate feedback and required actions to staff/service staff for follow-up.
• Collate and report monthly compliments, complaints, and feedback.
• Manage lost and found items within the library.

Crisis Management

• Maintain and oversee PPE items and the First Aid kit.
• Handle crisis situations and escalate communication according to SOPs.

Other Operational Responsibilities

• Assist the Library Manager in preparing the annual library report.
• Oversee the inventory of library supplies, including stationery and pantry items.
