The Worship Ministry Training (WMTC) Coordinator plays a crucial and signicant role in the Worship Ministry Team and is responsible for the training and development of existing and new musicians for Redemption Hill Church (RHC) worship ministry. Furthermore, this will help in shaping the ministry and support the church planting vision. This staff will be given opportunity to learn what it means to lead the worship ministry, which will include spearheading the recruiting, auditioning and training of musicians. The WMTC manages the rostering of volunteers and the week-to-week preparation and coordination for Sunday worship with the goal of ensuring a smooth and God-glorifying worship experience at RHC Sunday Services and events. The suitable candidate would also be one who agrees and supports RHC's statement of faith (on our website) and willing to be part of the church family.

Job Description:

• Oversee the technical development of volunteers in the worship ministry
• Work with Worship Ministry staff to develop a musical growth strategy for volunteers
• Oversee Instrument IC’s to improve the technical quality of volunteers (training workshops, one-on-one coaching, etc.)
• Oversee and coordinate volunteer ICs that help with some structures that support the growth of musicians, this includes but is not limited to Jamming sessions, training development for musicians that do not clear their auditions
• Create and provide ongoing and helpful resources for the Worship Ministry
• Lead worship frequently at RHC Sunday services and other church-related events (Prayer & Worship Night, Staff Meetings, Youth Camp) and serve on music teams to coach volunteers

Oversee and execute the administration, volunteer coordination and operations of the RHC Worship Ministry by:

• Coordinating the monthly and special events rosters
• Updating and maintaining the song list
• Managing Connect & WhatsApp Groups
• Communication across the teams
• Researching and sourcing new songs to introduce
• Communicates with and equips worship leaders with the necessary information and materials for worship preparations
• Drives the roster and communicates effectively to worship leaders and volunteers in a timely and volunteer-honoring way

Worship Ministry Intranet Management:

• Provides ongoing and helpful resources for the worship team
• Drive the management of the intranet and its use as a platform to train and equip our ministry volunteers
• Consolidate, maintain & organise all Worship Ministry files/documents and resources on the intranet/google storage platforms
• Use the intranet to resource and provide the teams and worship leaders with access to resources and training materials
• Oversee the recruitment and training of new musicians for RHC worship ministry
• Plan and organize worship auditions for new musicians
• Oversee the development of musicians who don’t pass the audition (i.e. Greenhouse)

Collaborates with Worship Ministry staff to define the ministry’s vision and direct the worship experience at RHC:

• Collaborates with Worship Ministry staff to realize the vision and shape RHC’s worship culture and experience
• Works with Worship Ministry staff to identify ways to strengthen the ministry (Sunday services, rehearsal and training times, special events, and new equipment) and strategize ways to address them
• Contributes to the planning and execution of the annual worship budget
• Contributes to the planning and management of the RHC song bank
• Works with the comms team and AV Production Leader to ensure that slides for special events are correct
• Support the running for the Worship Leader Development Pathways and the Music Director Programme
• Help drive the pathway for the development of musicians in youth
• Help support or drive initiatives in the worship ministry from time to time
• Assists the Director of Worship and Operations in identifying the needs of the ministry, and drawing the congregation into a more Spirit-lled worship with God
• Works with Kids Min on the quarterly Kids in Worship by helping to select songs and coordinating with service leaders and worship team
• To be part of key committees for the Worship Ministry

Qualications, Skills & Desired Traits:

• Expertise in all/some of these three main areas: leadership (theological prociency & worship liturgy), musical expertise and technological expertise. Leadership (theological prociency & worship liturgy)
• Possesses an understanding of, passion for, and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of RHC
• Passionate about the Sunday worship service and has experience with leading the congregation in musical worship
• The ability and passion for engaging others in heartfelt praise and worship through music
• The ability to develop and work with people and teams effectively
• This role must build relationships with volunteers, care for the volunteers and support the team Musical Skills
• Being vocally and musically procient, skilled at playing an instrument (guitar/keyboard), and have the ability to lead and direct a band.
• Experience working with a variety of musical instruments, styles and expressions 2
• Worship leading/band leading experience with a sincere desire to honour God and inspire His people through excellence in worship
• Have a working knowledge of basic music theory and the ability to read music/chord charts
• Be comfortable and condent incorporating a wide range of musical expressions, including traditional and contemporary styles
• Have some form of musical training with previous worship-leading experience
• Be committed to musical excellence for the end goal of edifying the church and glorifying God Technical Skills
• The ability to maintain and evaluate music and sound equipment needs within a Music Ministry
• Be familiar with applicable technology, lighting, staging, and design to enhance worship participation and experience
• Possess an aptitude for learning new skills and training others to learn and operate new applications and worship technology such as Multitracks, Pro-presenter, LogicPro, Songselect (CCLI), OnSong, and various Mac and Windows worship, media and presentation software.
