Responsibilities:
Publishing Operations:
· Apply for a printing press license with government regulations.
· Develop frameworks and guidelines for incorporating publications into educational programs or curricula.
· Lead the planning, development, and market positioning of publications, ensuring alignment with market trends and organizational goals.
· Supervise editorial, design, and production workflows to maintain high-quality standards and meet publication deadlines.
· Inspire and guide the editorial team by setting clear objectives, fostering professional growth, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
· Work closely with departments such as marketing, design, and copyright to guarantee seamless execution of publishing projects.
· Monitor industry trends and technological advancements, exploring innovative formats like eBooks, audiobooks, and interactive digital content.
· Identify opportunities for process enhancements, driving innovation and maintaining a competitive edge in the publishing industry.
Curriculum Development:
· Design and develop high-quality educational content, programs, and materials tailored to IB Chinese learners and aligned with relevant academic standards.
· Collaborate with the team to create engaging and effective curriculum materials.
· Evaluate and update existing educational content to ensure its relevance, accuracy, and alignment with evolving learner needs.
· Oversee the implementation of digital learning tools and resources, ensuring accessibility and usability for diverse learners.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Publishing, Journalism, Chinese Studies, Education, Media, or a related field.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in the publishing industry, with proven expertise in Chinese book editing, planning, and publishing workflows.
· Experience in curriculum development or instructional design, with the ability to create learner-focused educational materials.
· Exceptional project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results under tight deadlines.
· In-depth understanding of the publishing and education markets with the ability to anticipate reader and learner preferences.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong partnerships and foster teamwork across departments.
