• To perform the tasks of teaching, training, supervising, maintaining and developing the functioning level of client to function adequately and independently in the areas of Activities of Daily Living, Community Living, Social and Recreational Skills.
• Contribute and implement motivational and behavior management plans for clients', in collaboration with Allied Health team and other support workers.
• Engage in continuous assessment, training and evaluation of trainees' holistic development
• Plan and Implement appropriate group activities
• Contribute, implement and monitor trainees' security and safety procedures
• Monitor and implement programmes designed by Allied Health Professionals in the area of health, fitness & wellness programme, motivational & behaviour management plans as well as sensory awareness
• Communicate critical information to Social Worker and Centre Manager
• Support unit operational and logistics management
• Ensure centre/trainees safety and security
• Update of clients'/trainee's daily attendance and participation in activities, events and programmes in various client management system platforms
• Engage in caregiver dialogue sessions, home visits and maintain good rapport and communication with parents / caregivers

As a Science Teacher in our school, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing effective strategies to support students with diverse learning needs. You will be responsible for developing engaging and accessible science curriculum tailored to individual student requirements, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the holistic development of all students.

What You'll Do:

• Design and deliver differentiated science lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities and styles (Grades 7 to 10).
• Implement effective instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support students with special educational needs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance learning outcomes for students with disabilities.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in special education and inclusive teaching.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field from an accredited university.
• At least 3 years of experience working with children with learning difficulties.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with students with varying abilities.
• Experience with British Curriculum experience preferred.
• You may be assigned a teaching role or a mix of both teaching and CCA duties depending on the needs of the school.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including linking assessments to IEP development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Proficiency in classroom and behavior management techniques and the use of appropriate intervention strategies.
• Able to start short notice or January 2025
