UWCSEA East is excited to announce an opportunity for a Middle School Head of Activities for the academic year 2025/2026.

This is a one-year post. Eligible candidates must hold a qualification to teach Physical Education (PE). The position is currently part-time with the possibility of increasing to full-time.

The Head of Middle School Activities is responsible for the design, delivery, and monitoring of the Middle School activities programme and related resources. This leadership role supports the wider UWCSEA holistic learning programme, diverse student learning needs and interests, and has clear pathways throughout Middle School activities. The post holder is responsible for planning and delivering a developmentally appropriate activities programme that supports young adolescent learning in a full range of activity categories. The Head of MS Activities works closely with the High School and Junior School Heads of Activities, along with the Director of Activities and Community Engagement to design and implement the K-12 activity programme. • Ensure that all records, accounts, documents and correspondence are properly maintained, kept current and up-to-date.
• Facilitate applications and renewals of Medical Fee Exemption Cards for all residents
• Facilitate the application and disbursement of the School Pocket Money Fund for the residents.
• Facilitate group counselling, family sessions, one-to-one sessions and maintain case recordings.
• Facilitate home/school/employment visits and other significant tasks
• Work closely with the residents and their family for successful reintegration back to caregiver
• Responsible for the development of the Centre
• Provide support to the Operations of the centre
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Home, Licensee and Governing Board
• Responsible to lodge a Police report when necessary
