MISSION

• Conduct History and Geography lessons in English for European or British international sections with Cambridge-based program (IGCSE, IELTS...) for middle school and high school

The RF will conduct research focusing on properties of optical resonances in anisotropic whispering gallery mode resonators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate analytic theory of high-quality surface mode like resonances in anisotropic resonators, with supporting rigorous electromagnetic calculations.
• Investigate key optical properties of high-quality resonances in anisotropic resonators including their dispersion relation, quality factors, mode distributions and coupling requirements.
• Develop approximate expressions for resonant properties thereby providing a practical design tool and simplifying mode identification in experimental spectra.
• Quantify sensitivity of novel surface modes in anisotropic resonators to small environmental perturbations.
• Perform literature reviews and stay up to date on developments in the field.
• Disseminate results through publication in top-tier journals and conference presentations.
• Contribute to research administration and assist in grant writing as required.
• Supervise PhD and undergraduate student projects as required.

Job Requirements:

• PhD Degree in Physics/Mathematics/Engineering/Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Programming Experience: Proficient knowledge of Python.
• Strong experience and knowledge in electromagnetic surface waves and cavity modes
• Excellent experience in optical/electromagnetic modelling/theory and solving Maxwell’s equations in anisotropic systems.
