We are seeking to recruit a proactive and motivated research assistant to join the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at the National University of Singapore (NUS) launched on 5 September 2024, the first of its kind in Asia to advance research in alternative proteins. Led by experts from NUS and research institutes in Singapore, the Centre aims to drive global food security and accelerate regional innovation. The focus will be on microalgae research and biomass fermentation, to produce high-quality, affordable, and sustainable microbial proteins from microalgae and biomass fermentation that can be further developed into cultured meat and plant-based protein hybrids. Microbial proteins will be cultivated through fermentation and processed using emerging bio-physical techniques for effective biotransformation, to improve digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profile. As a research assistant, you will assist with conducting and monitoring microalgal cultivation bioprocesses via analytical techniques to achieve maximal product titres, yields, and rates. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research study team members in the development and validation of a new psychometric instrument aimed at measuring multimorbidity within a primary healthcare setting. This instrument will be integral to facilitating better patient care and informing primary healthcare interventions and policies.

• Collaborate and assist in the design and development of a new robust psychometric instrument, or the validation of an existing one, for measuring multimorbidity.
• Collaborate with study investigators to define key constructs and dimensions of multimorbidity.
• Develop survey items and scales that accurately capture the localised complexities of multimorbidity in a primary healthcare setting, adapting from existing measures and methodologies.
• Perform pilot testing and statistical analyses to evaluate validity and reliability of the instrument(s).
• Present findings and recommendations to study team
• Provide training and support to study team members on the use of the psychometric instrument(s).
