Our team works on large-scale recommendation systems for various offerings under TikTok and its affiliates, focusing on developing recommendation algorithms/models/strategies. We are committed to developing cutting-edge solutions for e-commerce recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

- Work on recommendation systems, involving contents of various forms ranging from products, short videos to live streams, with each unified recommendation model fulfilling heterogeneous E-commerce scenarios/goals across multiple countries.

• Act as a Finance Business Partner to the designated Research Centre/ Institutes within the cluster and provide strategic support to its management and budget holders by proactively monitoring financial activities and financial reporting specific to the Institutes, and clearly communicating results of the analyses.

Financial Management and Oversight

• Formulate and implement Individual Learning Programme (ILP) through professional assessment

Support Allied Health Professionals

• Monitor and implement programmes designed by Allied Health Professionals in the area of health fitness & wellness programme, motivational & behaviour management plans as well as sensory awareness

Administrative & Operations

• Support unit operational and logistics management
• Ensure centre/trainees safety and security

About the team

Our team works on large-scale recommendation systems for various offerings under TikTok and its affiliates, focusing on developing recommendation algorithms/models/strategies. We are committed to developing cutting-edge solutions for e-commerce recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

- Work on recommendation systems, involving contents of various forms ranging from products, short videos to live streams, with each unified recommendation model fulfilling heterogeneous E-commerce scenarios/goals across multiple countries.

- Optimize e-commerce recommendation models at massive scales, using deep learning/transfer learning/multi-task learning techniques.

- Data mining and analysis to improve the quality of recommended contents.

- Conduct research on various topics, which aim to optimize content recommendation circulation, ranging from ensuring diversity and new discovery in recommendation contents, to cold-start problem for new users/items and discovery of high-quality products/live streamers.

- Develop innovative and state-of-the-art e-commerce models and algorithms

- Support the production of scalable and optimised AI/machine learning (ML) models

- Focus on building algorithms for the extraction, transformation and loading of large volumes of realtime, unstructured data to deploy AI/ML solutions from theoretical data science models

- Run experiments to test the performance of deployed models, and identifies and resolves bugs that arise in the process

- Work in a team setting and apply knowledge in statistics, scripting and programming languages required by the firm.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields with at least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience and 2+ years of team management experience.

The TikTok E-commerce Recommendation and Marketing Algorithm team is responsible for algorithm and big data work on e-commerce innovation projects. Leveraging on our products, the team helps users discover and acquire great products, enriching their lives. In this team, we not only use recommendation and search algorithms to help users find items they are interested in but also employ risk control algorithms and intelligent platform governance algorithms to detect violations, ensuring a secure shopping experience. We build intelligent customer service technologies and large-scale product knowledge graphs to improve the efficiency of various transaction processes. Furthermore, we develop logistics and operations research algorithms to enhance supply chain efficiency, and we apply artificial intelligence to help merchants improve their operational capabilities. Responsibilities

- Participate in optimizing TikTok e-commerce growth and marketing algorithms, including core capabilities such as user value modelling, personalized messaging, recommendations, and intelligent marketing.

- Establish a user lifecycle data and value system to address core pain points and business challenges related to TikTok Mall user growth.

- Contribute to the implementation of product and technical solutions for user growth engines, such as personalized push notifications/emails, recommendation handling, etc., to increase e-commerce DAU and penetration rates.

- Optimize algorithms related to recall/sorting for new user recommendations, improving the relevance of traffic source handling and the accuracy and diversity of new user recommendations.
