Purpose and Scope

TaRgeted Analysis of Novel Secreted Factors for Obesity Reduction and Metabolic Health (TRANSFORM)

Description:

Multi-omic analysis of secreted factors from various datasets was carried out, including human, mouse and primate plasma and metabolic tissues to identify novel primate-specific secreted factors critically involved in the regulation of physiology balance. Integrative data analysis and in silico rank scoring revealed a list of promising secreted factor candidates. We will be using model organisms (e.g. mice, zebrafish) to conduct phenotypic screens and prioritize candidates for detailed validation, characterization, mode-of-action studies and therapeutic strategies.

Job responsibilities:

● Conduct in vitro wet lab experiments for identified candidates (e.g. cell culture, molecular biology and assays, protein chemistry, pharmacological efficacy etc)

● Conduct in vivo screening experiments for prioritized candidates (e.g. in preclinical models of obesity)

The Research Assistant will participate in seagrass research, with a specific focus on examining seagrass reproduction. A large component of the work is to be conducted in the field. • Plan, supervise and implement the programme for the class in accordance with centre’s policies and framework
• Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for each child
• Set up and create a stimulating and engaging pleasant learning environment that promotes self-directed learning
• Responsible for all aspects of classroom management and carry out routine care duties to ensure safety and hygiene of the children
• Work closely with the other teaching staff in the class in carrying out the duties
• Build and maintain close partnership with parents

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education
• Certified by ECDA at L2 category
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High tolerance level towards children is an advantage

• We seek out for a researcher with a PhD in Physics or similar. In particular the candidate is expected to have a strong back ground in many-body quantum physics with extensive experience in tensor networks and neural network quantum states.
• The researcher will work on developing the numerical approaches and apply them to areas such as quantum thermodynamics, many-body quantum systems out of equilibrium and biology.
• High competence in parallel programming and GPU programming is preferred.

Day-to-day classroom management and professional practice in accordance with the Mission and policies of ISS International, Singapore. The responsibilities will include aspects such as:

• Delivery of the curriculum in accordance with the guidelines stated in the ISS Curriculum Document.
• Participation in curriculum review and development, extra-curricular and activity week programs, ISS pastoral care program (homeroom duties, reporting procedures, student guidance, liaison with ISS Student Services), ongoing school development programs and school's accreditation program.
• Support of the ISS Strategic Plan.
• Provide support for the ISS Marketing department initiatives.
• Provide support for the ISS Admissions department initiatives
• Implementation of the ISS Discipline Policy.
• Regular communication between parent/guardian and the school.
• Relief teaching, student supervision and as required by the Academic Directors.
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings, In-Service Day programs, relevant training programs and in-school events (Parents Evenings, Concert, Graduation, etc).
• Ongoing professional training to remain up to date with educational developments.
• Awareness of evacuation and safety procedures and its communication to students as directed by the ISS Safety Officer.
• Any other duty that is deemed necessary by the Academic Directors.

Requirements:

• Degree or relevant professional qualification, teaching license in educational administration.
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
• Candidates with IB PYP experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• A Degree in Education, Special Education Counselling , Psychology, or related field.
• At least two years full time teaching experience preferred.

Job Scope:

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of volunteer programmes, events, and trainings (online/onsite), including liaising with partners, sourcing vendors, and handling logistics for catering, printing, and other needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive volunteer engagement strategies that align with organisational initiatives, address volunteers' needs, and strengthen their capabilities through various initiatives.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of client's annual volunteer recognition programme, including the appreciation event and award scheme.
• Plan and conduct surveys to evaluate volunteer feedback of volunteer programmes and use insights to enhance future initiatives.
• Conceptualise, prepare, and manage marketing and publicity materials to promote events, programmes, and training sessions effectively
• Manage docent/volunteer related matters such as processing of volunteer identification cards, organising engagement sessions etc.
• Manage and respond to queries in the volunteer enquiry inbox in a timely manner
• Coordinate and maintain an up-to-date volunteer database and record-keeping system
• Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting strategic organisational projects and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Background in Arts, Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communications or Social Sciences with minimum 2 years working experience
• Experience in community engagement, partnerships, programming, volunteer management, organizing community-based events
• Experience working with community groups, volunteers and/or social service sector will be advantageous
• Dynamic, highly driven individual with strong communication, problem-solving, administration and project management skills
• Resourceful, adaptable and meticulous with attention to details
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work on weekday evenings and weekends if required
