Duties:

• To assist in the planning, oversee the coordination and monitoring of logistics, resources, duringtraining delivery for the fulfilment of the programme, project and service objectives (customersatisfaction and process quality). These may apply for both funded and non-fundedprogrammes.
• To support post-delivery administrative processes, as needed, and provide administrativesupport to fulfill the contract and, as needed, to our customers (learners and/or clients), faculty,partners, and internal stakeholders. This may include, among others, the collation ofevaluation reports and assessment records for funded programmes.
• To provide data to Programme Lead for the tracking of performance targets and outcomes.
• To communicate and liaise with customers, work with faculty, vendors (e.g. caterers), internalstakeholders (e.g., facilities), and partners where needed, during training delivery for theresolution of operational and service matters with the aim of optimising learning experience
• To help identify service gaps and opportunities for improvement during training delivery by surveying the faculty, learners, training environment and provide feedback to the Programme
• Lead on service and process improvements in the respective programme, project and/or service
• To support ad-hoc administrative requests for the collation of documents and other related tasks for specific projects and/or work tasks.
• To attend all mandatory training as required as per policies and for any on-the-job training in preparation for and fulfillment of the role.

• Part Time Basis, within Monday to Friday
• either 8am to 5pm, 8.30am to 5.30pm, or 9am to 6pm (for a minimum deployment of half a day or 4 hours a day) and depending on the monthly work schedule

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), together with the Earth Observatory of Singapore, is looking for a Research Associate to make an important contribution to the research project: “Climate Transformation Program (CTP): Cross Cutting Theme 1 – Sustainable Societies” funded by the MOE Tier 3C Grant. CTP aims to develop, inspire, and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies.

CTP will generate knowledge and innovation across disciplines including climate and Earth science, ecology, materials science, artificial intelligence, humanities, social sciences and the arts, finance, health, and engineering. It will also translate state-of-the-art scientific results into real world solutions for Singapore, and it will transfer these solutions to Southeast Asia (SEA) and beyond.

As part of this programme, “Cross-cutting theme 1: Sustainable Societies”, this theme will leverage climate research in communication and virtual reality tools to shape public attitudes and behaviours towards climate change issues. The Research Associate will work directly with the PI of the Sustainable Societies theme, Professor Shirley Ho, based in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU.

Key Responsibilities:

• To engage in conducting literature searches and manuscript preparation.
• To engage in VR app development and implementation.
• To engage in experiment conceptualization, design, and implementation.
• To conduct statistical analyses with experimental data.
• To contribute to research publications and presentations.
• To write progress report and final research report.
• To engage in the dissemination of the results of the research with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• To carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in communication, psychology, sociology, or a social science related discipline.
• Strong foundation in VR app development, experimental research and analytical skills (e.g., SPSS, MPLUS, or R).
• A team player in a project setting, also with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment.
• Must demonstrate initiative and good interpersonal communication skills.
