About the Role:
Are you passionate about gymnastics and coaching? Do you have strong organisational skills and a knack for creating a positive, supportive environment for both recreational and competitive athletes? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled WAG Coach to manage and deliver high-quality gymnastics services, both recreational and competitive in one of our programmes. Working closely with the Senior Management, this role will ensure the growth and development of gymnasts at all levels while maintaining a focus on safety, communication, and the ongoing success of the program.
Key Responsibilities:Coaching:
Deliver engaging, high-quality coaching sessions for both recreational and competitive gymnasts, tailored to the age and ability of each group.
Ensure that all coaching activities adhere to the relevant policies, procedures, and codes of practice, with a strong focus on safety.
Maintain a high standard of safeguarding, equality, and health & safety practices.
Communicate effectively with participants, coaches, and parents to foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
Coach during weekends, school holidays, and camps, ensuring availability for all required sessions.
Programme Management:
Working with the Senior Management Team develop, manage, and promote all gymnastics programmes , ensuring they are efficient, financially sustainable, and meet the needs of all participants.
Manage communications for competitions, including entry, travel, organisation on the day, and award announcements, ensuring deadlines and policies are adhered to.
Supervise and support all coaches delivering gymnastics sessions, ensuring they have clear lesson plans and appropriate guidance.
Administrative Duties:
Monitor and manage payments, ensuring all participants are up to date with fees.
Assist the management in coordinating cover for coaching sessions, ensuring that all lessons are well-planned and that safety protocols are followed.
Contribute to newsletters, showcasing gymnast achievements and promoting the programme to parents and the wider school community.
Provide timely feedback on the development of gymnasts to parents and relevant school staff.
Who We're Looking For:
A qualified gymnastics coach with experience of coaching recreational and competitive gymnasts.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with gymnasts, parents, coaches, and school staff.
A passion for developing young athletes and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, school holidays, and camps.
Experience in programme management and event coordination is desirable.
