The Head and Neck Genomics Laboratory (Principal Investigator: Asst Prof Joshua Tay, MBBS, PhD) at the National University of Singapore is inviting applications for a research assistant. The successful candidate will be involved in building precision medicine tools using novel state-of-the-art genomic techniques and machine-learning algorithms. The goal is to translate these tools from the bench into actual clinical tests at the bedside. OBS Instructor Recruitment Process

Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for:

1. ISP Briefing

There will be a briefing session for all candidates to learn more about this meaningful career. You will also get to interact with the OBS team and have your questions answered through the session.

2. Instructor Selection Process (ISP)

Your very own 3D2N outdoor expedition to find out if you have what it takes to be an OBS Instructor. You will go through physically and mentally challenging but rewarding activities over 72 hours. By applying for this round of ISP, you will need to fully commit on the ISP dates.

3. Panel Interview

This is the final stage of becoming a Trainee Instructor. Bring your best self for a cosy chat with the OBS leaders to find out if there's a good match in terms of job expectations and cultural fit.

We seek a passionate research scientist to work on the development of novel ultrathin liquid metal oxides for applications in two-dimensional material heterostructure nano-electronics. This project aims to develop scalable techniques to create atomically smooth dielectric interfaces with 2D semiconductors to enable next-generation devices.

Job Description:

· Synthesize and characterize novel liquid metal based ultrathin 2D oxides.

· Design, fabricate, and measure electronic and quantum devices using 2D materials, such as field effect transistors, tunnelling transistors, and gate-defined quantum dots.

· Establish fabrication recipes and material processing capabilities within the research group.

· Automate measurements and analyze data.

· File technology disclosures and technical documentation.

· Prepare manuscripts for publication.
