Job Responsibilities:

Healthcare is one of the most promising research directions in artificial intelligence (AI) for industry, public health and academia, and AI-driven solutions have the potential to make significant impact in society by enabling better patient management through improved diagnosis and treatment.

The Singapore National Eye Centre/Singapore Eye Research Institute (SNEC/SERI), in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is seeking a highly qualified individual to take on a significant role in this exciting and rapidly developing research direction at the cross-roads of healthcare and artificial intelligence.

He/ She will be expected, but not limited to:

• Develop machine-learning and deep-learning solutions to address current clinical challenges, including segmentation, detection, and prediction, through the use of large-scale medical/ophthalmic images and data from state-of-the-art clinical platforms
• Perform research in medical image processing and develop novel approaches to multimodal imaging (2D and 3D) using imaging systems ranging from current clinical systems to novel imaging prototypes
• Conduct and coordinate research within SNEC/SERI and NTU in line with its research strategy and under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigators and Collaborators
• Manage these research projects in a team-based, cross-functional research environment, which include supervising doctoral and master students, research assistants, and technical and other support staff
• Publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the result of research and scholarship in other reputable outlets
• Attend and present research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the department
• Draft research report for Principal Investigators
• Undertake specific roles and management functions as may be reasonably required by the Principal Investigators
• Attend meetings and to participate (where necessary) in other committees and working groups within SNEC/SERI and NTU
• Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline
• Previous experience in OCT, software development in OCT and OCT signal analysis would be an advantage
• Possess good programming and image processing skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team-based, cross-functional research team

Job Responsibilities:

The tutor is to conduct his or her duties in a professional manner. He or she must provide syllabus guidance, review of weak concepts, timed exam practices, and targeted homework and feedback to each student.

Job Requirements:

We are seeking full-time or part-time junior tutors for IB/IGCSE PHYSICS. One should have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Good attitude and sense of responsibility
• Keen eye for detail
• Ability to teach both individual and group classes
• Able to create resources
• Tutors should ideally have relevant experience teaching Physics at IB, IGCSE, and/or MYP level
• Fresh IB graduates are welcome
• Proficient in Physics. Ideally, an IB graduate with a predicted score of >42 Points and 7 in Physics.
