The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Programme houses state-of-the-art technologies for profiling mitochondrial function and metabolic adaptations in human patients and other model organisms, and undertakes translational and clinical research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.

Dr Wang Yibin’s laboratory has a long-standing research interest in the fundamental mechanisms of cardiovascular and metabolic regulations in physiology and diseases. The laboratory employs state-of-the-art genomic and metabolomic approaches, aiming to identify novel players and mechanisms in transcription and post-transcription regulation, stress-signaling pathways as well as novel therapeutic targets relevant to cardiometabolic disorders.
