Job responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise and implement the programme for the class in accordance with the class level, policies and framework
• Conduct age-appropriate lessons according to our infant care curriculum programme
• Carry out progress monitoring of young infants/toddlers
• Classroom management and maintaining a pleasant and conducive learning environment
• Setting up learning corners for the young infants/toddlers
• Carrying out routine care duties
• Organizing and participating in centre events
• Ensuring the safety and hygiene of the infants
• Work closely with other teaching staff in the room in carrying out the duties
• Build and maintain close partnerships with colleagues and parents
• Assist in other ad-hoc duties or initiatives where needed

Upon Completion of the course:

You will be conferred the Advanced Certificate in Early Years by recognised awarding institutions and will be qualified to teach Infant Care, Playgroup and Nursery 1 from 2 months to 3 years old.

You will be conferred the Higher Certificate in Infant Care by recognised awarding institutions and will be qualified to teach Infant Care from 2 months to 17 months old.

Job Description

Work on hands-on experiments for few of the following tasks:

1. Design, Simulation, and Fabrication of Piezoelectric MEMS such as FBAR, SAW, MEMS resonators, MEMS microphones, and MEMS microspeakers
2. Fabrication of integrated sensors based on CMOS compatible process
3. Fabrication of nanosensors using e-beam lithography
4. Design and testing of MEMS devices for biomedical related applications and environment monitoring related applications
5. Design, modelling and testing of neuromorphic computing devices using MEMS and/or resistive elements
6. Write 2 or more research papers based on derived data of the above devices in the first year in the top-notch journals
7. Write research grant proposals
8. Supporting and guiding the experiments of FYP students and MSc students

Qualifications

1. PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering
   
2. Have learned Machine Learning related courses for one semester at post-graduate level and earned score of A- or better
3. Strong background in hands-on microfabrication techniques at clean room and with journal publications showing such evidences
4. With 3 years and more experience in making and testing Piezoelectric MEMS devices
5. With 2 year and more working experience in MEMS, Resonators design and Robotics applications
6. Strong knowledge in L-Edit; Lumerical; CST; COMSOL; ANSYS
7. Having more than three 1st-authored international peer-reviewed journal papers (for RF)
8. Open to Fixed Term Contract

· Assist lead class educator in preparing and producing learning materials

· Assist and guide students in carrying out instructions and activities during lessons

· Assist lead class educator to collect data to monitor students’ learning and behavioural progress

· Support lead class educator in determining individualised goals for each student to enhance their development

· Build strong rapport with students using positive behaviour strategies

Professional Development

· Participate in cluster meetings and professional development activities to upgrade relevant knowledge and skills

Other Areas

Participate in various school initiatives & events

Assist in CCA duties

Requirements:

• O Levels/Relevant Certificates in Education are welcome
• Candidates who possessed a Local Diploma / IB / A Levels / Local Degree may be considered for the position of Educator
• Relevant experience in teaching special needs students will be an advantage
