The Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) aims to pioneer the development and discovery of new and more effective methods for the treatment, prevention and control of new and emerging pathogens. The key outcome of the research will be the early identification of new pathogens, out of which new diagnostic tests, treatments and control strategies will be developed.

The successful candidate will join Dr Alan Hsu's research group in EID at Duke-NUS Medical School and will contribute to ground-breaking research focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of severe disease pathogenesis caused by influenza viruses and SARS-CoV-2 through innovative experimental models, next-gen technologies, novel therapeutic development, and complementary suite of clinical samples and in vivo models.
