Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage IT operations to support corporate and research functions.
· Manage IT infrastructure, including networks switches, firewalls, on-prem and cloud based servers and workstations, storage devices, and High Performance Computing cluster.
· Monitor and maintain cybersecurity posture. Ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and maintained, identifying risks and recommending appropriate solutions. Conducted cybersecurity awareness training for staff.
· Provide support for all IT infrastructure to ensure smooth IT operations.
· Plan and implement IT projects.
· Manage vendor relationships, negotiating hardware/software contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of IT services and solutions.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
· Min 8 years in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
· CISSP, CISA,CISM, PMP and MCSE certifications will be of added advantage
· Proven experience in managing vendors and stakeholders, ensuring effective IT service delivery.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain technical solutions clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
· Self-starter with a proven track record to adapt and evolve with change.
