Responsibilities Includes:
- Awareness of sensor technology and their specs
- Awareness and knowledge of our AV software stack
- Calibration and fusion of multi type sensors and its verification
- Sensor integration and noise modelling
- Supporting team lead with designing integration, calibration, and verification test plans
- Performing continues tests / data collection as per designed test plans and recording observations and issues.
- Working closely with a team of engineers and researchers within the group whose mission is to provide a rock-solid foundation for testing and exploitation of our robotics science.
- Supporting ambitious field trials and data collection exercises in outdoor settings. This involves travel to international test sites.
- Debugging sensor software and environmental noise and related issues.
- Reporting complex observations with easy-to-understand details with the team
Skill set required:Essential:BSc / Master level qualification in Robotics/ Computer Science or other related subject from a respected university
Knowledge and experience of ROS
Good programming skills in python / C++
Trouble shooting skills
Methodical approach to workDesirable:Knowledge and experience of Open CV and perception algorithms
Experience of point cloud, vision
Experience of working with industrial sensors such as LiDAR/Radar/Vision/IMU and GPS, ideally on autonomous vehicles.
