Responsibilities:

Working with a back-office development team, the candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the software solution for a high volume and performance intensive back office of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system. The ideal candidate must have experience in software modernization, cloud computing and database development, as well as a strong background in software development and programming languages.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders;

• Design, develop and maintain of the software;

• Prepare and submit deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle, such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Code, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual,

Training Manual and other documents as required by the Authority;

• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues;

• Liaise with users on the requirement, design and testing issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Computer Science, IT or engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development;

• Gone through at least one full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with experience in producing SDLC documentation;

• Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge and experience in the mentioned technologies are also welcome to apply;

• Experience in analysing requirements, designing, development and delivering complex enterprise applications in Enterprise Java, web programming on UNIX / LINUX and Windows environment;

• Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system;

• Experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot;

• Experience in Cloud Computing, Kubernetes & Dockers, AWS Services like Amazon ECS Fargate, AWS RDS & Lambda will be an advantage;

• Experience in Software Modernization, Containerization, Microservices will be an advantage;

• Experience in database design, development and performance tuning;

• Experience in Kafka, MQ, Service Mesh, Snowflake will be an advantage;

• Familiarity with Agile development methodology and continuous integration will be an advantage;

• Familiarity with EMV and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) will be an advantage;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Configure and maintain the CICD pipelines incorporating streamlined change and release management process

What we are looking for:

• Hands-on experience working on AWS  Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker, and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of virtualization and networking concepts  Hands-on experience with configuration management systems such as Terraform, Packer and Ansible
• Hands-on experience with production deployments such as Kubernetes and automating provisioning with IaC best practices.
• Hands-on experience in linux server administration and shell scripting with Bash, and good to have other scripting languages.
• Knowledge in System architecture is a plus  Has knowledge with tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, ELK, docker, eks, kubernetes, ansible, terraform, packer, helm, networking, linux, elk, gitlab, aws programming knowledge in python, bash
• Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
• Breadth of knowledge - OS, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing
• Manage the operations of cloud infrastructure and application services
• Strong technical aptitude including excellent troubleshooting and communications skills
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Agile projects such as SCRUM and KANBAN

How to Succeed:

● Degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering or

infocomm-related discipline

● At least 3 years of professional software quality testing experience with hands-on

automation

● Strong understanding of testing techniques

● Strong understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration and

continuous delivery

● Experience working with Java and Spring Boot frameworks will be an added

advantage

● Experience with open source automated testing frameworks (i.e. Selenium, Cucumber,

JUnit) or enterprise level testing tools (e.g. HP Mobile Center, HP UFT, HP QC,

Sprinter)

● Experience with open source performance testing tools (i.e. JMeter, Gatling, Locust) or

enterprise level testing tools (HP LoadRunner)

● Experience with open source penetration testing tools (ZAP, Burp Suite, SQL Map) or

enterprise level penetration testing tools (HP WebInspect, Nessus, CheckMarx)

● Working experience in Agile environment will be an added advantage
