Priority Tasks

· Workplace is at customer premises and staff has to follow instituted Workplace securities

· Provide problem status to the Service Desk and/or update into the ticketing tool according to the Procedures Manual

· Perform day-to-day Network operation for the Network Infra-structure and Network Equipment at the customer/IBM premises, including performance monitoring, bandwidth monitoring.

· Work with customer's vendor to perform testing and preventative maintenance according to the schedule provided by the customer for the Network Equipment

· Perform periodic OS upgrade and Patching as and when required.

· 24X5 rotational shift onsite availability and 24X7 standby / remote support availability as and when needed for critical incidents.

· Assist Level 2 engineers in with first level Problem resolution, escalation and/or closure of incident including problem analysis and identification of the source of the problem

· Assist Level 2 engineers in providing proactive incident reports for all Network related problems, faults, events within TWENTY-FOUR (24) hours

· Respond to all fault calls inclusive of emails and other forms of communications for Firewall related issues and problems reported

· Escalate the problem to Vendors Support in timely manner and get the issue resolved within the specified time as agreed with the customer/IBM

· Provide multi-vendor equipment support across a wide range of models and types of networking equipment

· Maintain the inventory of certificates and install/update/renew certificates as and when required.

· Maintain/Update inventory list and compliance related databases or similar Databases.

· Maintain the device inventory list for the client when needed, Maintain the software/firmware for all the devices up to date

· Maintain the IP address inventory and allocate new IP address when required by business.

· Engage third part vendors to resolve hardware issues and follow up till closure

· Monitor vendor End of Life / End of Support notifications for all In Scope Devices and inform the client.

• Responsible for the overall management and implementation of projects
• Plan and prepare work schedules when the projectis awarded
• Coordinate and manage activities of the vendors and sub-contractors to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure documentation from vendors and sub-contractors are in-order i.e. Technical Submission, Material Submission, etc
• Constantly monitor the progress of projects and provide management and clients’ with regular progress status reports

• Prepare test scripts, schedule, and reports for Factory and Site testing and send an invitationto clients for all witness testing.
• Coordinate with consultant or clients for Integrated Services Test (IST) and prepare all vendors, sub-contractors and internal departments for the test.
• Work with CAD department to highlight any discrepancy in construction drawings and ensure accuracy in as-built drawings.
• Work with the Project Admin department to prepare OMM and handover certificates for assigned projects.
• Prepare system write-up for every discipline

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Fresh graduates are welcome
• 3-4 years’ experience in the M&E industry is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Possess knowledge in project management tools, solutions, andtechniques are highly desirable.

• Familiar with Authority Requirement and Code of Practice is preferable

Provide support to Facilities Manager in Facility Maintenance / Preventive Maintenance work.

• Liaise with customer engineering department to ensure company procedures and quality guidelines are followed.
• Review “Events and Actions” on site and implement remedial actions where needed
• Manage contractors work on site to ensure adherence to procedures
• To be involved and carry out planning, execution and updates for all daily work including routine report submission.
• To be involved in co-ordination and liaison on contractor works, which includes:
• Power Diversion,
• System power up and down,
• System roll in and out,
• Power tracing,
• Equipment data logging and encompassing all other minor works which contribute to the well-being of the Data Centre or Site.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (or related engineering field) and above.

• At least 3 year experience of operating in and fitting our Data Centre Facilities is an advantage but not mandatory
• Able to work on odd hours as and when required
• License Electric Worker is an advantage but not mandatory
• Possess good practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical work
• Possess strong understanding of large-scale facility electrical infrastructure system
• Good written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work efficiently and good team orientation.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Be aligned and act in accordance to SMRT's Vision, Mission, Service Standard and Core Values.

2. Ensure good understanding, knowledge and skills needed for all maintenance activities and provide support for staff training.

3. Lead and supervise a team of Technical Officer(s) to perform preventive, corrective, overhaul, troubleshooting, engineering analysis, investigation or any assigned maintenance activities on all rolling stocks, depot and workshop equipment.

4. Assist to plan and coordinate staff deployment and shift roster to optimise resources utilisation.

5. Verify and ensure all tasks executed by the team are in accordance to latest Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures, and to ensure personal and peers’ safety at all times.

6. Ensure spares, tools and equipment used are in good condition and calibrated if necessary.

7. Perform train shunting activities and operate depot equipment, maintenance vehicles and maintenance equipment to support maintenance activities of the group.

8. Verify and ensure work records done by the team are updated factually, accurately and timely on Work Records Form and on the Maintenance Management System

9. Report immediately any abnormalities or practices observed that are not in accordance to Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures.

10. Adopt KAIZEN methodology (5M, 5S & 5W) to eliminate 8 Wastes and improve Productivity and Value of work performed.

11. Provide support to staff, contractors or any other personnel who are required to perform work on depot and all rolling stocks.

12. To support the group during incidents, accidents and emergencies.

13. Ensure excellent housekeeping are maintained within all work areas.

14. Maintain a high level of work discipline and standards.

15. Perform any other task as assigned.
