You will be a key technology partner to our customers in the Public Safety & Security sector to thrive on developing the next breakthrough for the security of Singapore. Working closely with the Solution Architect, Project Manager and Technical Lead, you will be part of a development team to develop, test and deploy software application as part of an overall project implementation.

Be Part of Our Success

• Establish database performance baseline and executing workload tests such as replication, backup & recovery, log shipping, scalability, partitioning etc.
• Responsible for Database sizing, capacity planning, performance tuning and database account management.
• Review release notes and upgrade or patch database software based on maintenance schedules.
• Create primary database storage structures (tablespaces), primary objects (tables, views, indexes) after application developers have designed an application.
• Define user access and enable data distribution to the right end user in an appropriate format and in a timely manner.
• Maintain and monitor systems to ensure optimal performance that meets established Service Level Agreements.
• Develop and maintain the database standards and operating procedures that are aligned to IT policies, procedures, and service management frameworks.

Qualities We Value

• Experience in database administration and operation management in MySQL & Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge in database design, development, and administration in high volume, large scale and data intensive environment with relational & distributed databases.

We are looking for a Database Engineer to join team and play a pivotal role in scaling the database systems for our customers in the Public Safety & Security sector.

You will leverage your expertise in database management, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead projects to enhance the customers database infrastructure. Your work will directly contribute to the Public Safety & Security sector in ensuring high availability and performance of the systems.

Be Part of Our Success

• To perform monitoring for all database flavors (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, EDB, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, Redis, and Mongo) and take appropriate action.
• To perform daily backup monitoring and take action to have recovery solution in place.
• To manage the database availability and performance, including incident and problem management.
• To work with Major Incident Management (MIM) team to resolve and co-ordinate high critical issues.
• To carry out periodical production patch and upgrade management.
• To work closely with users and vendors to take timely and appropriate steps to resolve and troubleshoot issues impacting service levels.
• To identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains in database operations.
• To implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.

Qualities We Value

• At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience as a Database Administrator.
• Must have familiarity with at least 2 databases among Mysql/MariaDB, PostgreSQL/EDB, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, MongoDB, Redis etc.
• Experience in 24x7 support for critical production systems, scheduled maintenance, and release deployment activities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills

As an infrastructure engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex IT systems that support our customers in the Public Safety & Security sector’s day-to-day operations. You will work closely with other IT professionals, such as software engineers and network administrators, to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the customer’s IT infrastructure.

• Designing and deploying enterprise-level hardware and software systems that support the organization’s operations
• Monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure systems to ensure they remain operational and secure
• Developing disaster recovery plans and procedures in conjunction with other IT professionals
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems as they arise, either independently or in collaboration with other IT professionals
• Keeping abreast of technological advancements and emerging trends in hardware, software, and systems management to inform decision-making about IT infrastructure

Qualities We Value

• Proficient in hardware and software systems design and implementation, data center management, network protocols, and security protocols.
• Knowledge of cloud-based systems and virtualization.
• Excellent scripting and programming skills as well as experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional certification in Microsoft Certified Solutions (MCSE) or the CompTIA A+ Certification or others is advantageous.
