Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.

In 2021, Enterprise Singapore, the national standards body for Singapore, had appointed ERI@N as a Standards Development Organisation (SDO) to develop and promote standards under the Electrical and Electronic Standards Committee. This includes standards supporting emerging areas such as renewables -offshore wind/marine & solar energy, secondary batteries and cells, solid state transformers, electrical energy storage systems, and smart grids. Core expertise:

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support our growing team.

As a key player in the company, you will:

• Support the Project Team in pump selection, quotations, technical documentation, and drawings
• Follow up with customers and suppliers on inquiries and orders
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure project deadlines are met
• Initiate and request orders for required project supplies
• Coordinate project timelines and resources

Requirements

• A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field

Job Description

Electrical Instrument Engineers are responsible for designing, configuring, and overseeing automated systems and power distribution projects, focusing on enhancing productivity, reliability, safety, and optimization in industrial facilities, from warehouses to complex EPC contracts, while managing contractors and ensuring system stability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a knowledge resource for instrumentation, control systems, and process automation.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including P&IDs, Instrument Index, and I/O Lists, across all project phases.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and requisition packages for inquiry and purchase, ensuring compliance with client standards and project requirements.
• Provide technical direction for material selection, vendor compliance, and equipment specifications; perform technical bid evaluations and make purchase recommendations.
• Coordinate with process engineers, mechanical equipment vendors, and external workshare offices to ensure compliance with project requirements and schedules.
• Plan, design, and oversee the construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare technical and construction scope of work documents for instrumentation, control systems, and electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and vendor data reviews to ensure specifications and operational standards are met.
• Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform tasks and develop deliverables.
• Develop TIC cost estimates, effort-hour estimates, and budgets for labor, materials, and construction costs.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Description

• Coordinated with client, engineers, technicians and provided necessary support for process and Safety groups
• Electrical and instrumentation installation work, wiring and terminations.
• Preparation of Electrical and instrument QA/QC documents.
• Performing loop check, safety interlock functioning test.
• Performing the site testing and commissioning of field Instruments.
• Perform Instrument construction, testing, commissioning work. Preparation of punch list and ensure all the punch list items are rectified before client Final Acceptance.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for design, development, commissioning and maintenance of inhouse Ship Management System (SMS), which includes:

• Perform system and architecture design of Ship Management System (SMS).
• Perform system integration for SMS with third party systems.
• Perform, coordinate, manage and support of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Set to work (STW) and Harbour Acceptance Test (HAT).
• Perform software configuration management and technical documentation.
• Perform hardware / software maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with customers, project manager and other engineering trades.
• Ensure operationality and functionality of SMS during the maintenance period of the vessel life cycle.
• Maintain close working relationships with customer, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge in PLC programming and SCADA software.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Computer, those with other engineering experiences are also welcome.

Job Description
To assist the Project Manager on project site work by focusing mainly on the aspects of construction, safety quality management, and project coordination of projects and maintenance works and to ensure smooth work progression and completion within target time and budget.

• Prepare method statements, design plans, and specifications.
• Liaise with the stakeholders (e.g. clients, authorities, consultants) on permits, drawings, and design matters.
• Develop projected milestone and operational plans for different phases of the project which includes scheduling, monitoring, and reviewing of the work of others.
• Determine project requirements and estimate resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure that site works are executed accordingly based on approved detailed drawings, interpreted plans, and requirements of relevant authorities.

• Support contract administration and construction inspection by reviewing final plans, specifications, special conditions, and agreements.

Job Requirement

• Degree in with degree in Civil, mechanical or equivalent
• At least 1 - 2 years relevant experience in construction site
• Prior experience in Refinery / Process Plant on Civil and/or Mechanical projects execution will be advantageous

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for trouble shooting and resolving all welding quality and productivity issues through active engagement with the customers and production supervisors
• Develop and draft new welding procedures, including procedure qualification training
• Trouble-shoot and provide support to the Production on all welding quality issues
• Conduct random inspections to ensure that the welding activities carried out conform to the relevant customer specifications, codes and standards
• Directs and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure workers' compliance with established welding procedures, restrictions, and standards; in testing welds for conformance with national code requirements; or testing welding personnel for certification
• Contacts personnel of other agencies, engineering personnel, or clients to exchange ideas, information or offer technical advice concerning welding matters

Requirements:

• Diploma/ degree in Metallurgical/ Material/ Mechanical Engineering
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in preparation of WPS, PQR and welders’ qualification
• Knowledge of API, ASME-IX, NACE MR00175 codes and ISO 9001:2015 standard
• Certified Welding Inspector or CSWIP

Roles & Responsibilities:

To be involved in the day-to-day management of site supervision of construction activity to ensure site works are carried out as per schedule and the local authorities’ quality standard

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Design/Structural/Architectural/Civil Engineering/Building Construction or any equivalent qualification

Experience or knowledge in Bridge Construction/Crosshead/Lifting Frame/Launching Gantry Operation/Pre-cast Segment Method/MRT/LTA will be an advantage

More than 3 years of site experience in the Construction sector, preferably in superstructure crosshead/precast segmental bridge and Launching Gantry operation or similar
