Duties to Be Performed:

Duties to Perform:

The Senior Chemical Engineer will work on designing, tendering, and monitoring the installation of bulk chemical and high purity chemical systems for industrial facilities in semiconductors, electronics, biopharma, and related industries. The gas systems include bulk chemicals, high-purity chemicals, slurries, and related distribution networks.

The Senior Chemical Engineer will collate the client’s capacity requirements and specifications and prepare the conceptual design, make a detailed design for system capacity, configuration, schematic, P&ID, PFD, layout, distribution, and system parameters, and prepare documents like the scope of work, reports, pecifications, standards, logistics, and detailed drawings for tender.

The Prospective Candidate will review proposals from contractors and continue to support them during installation when required. Managing a team of Quality control personnel and coordination with NDE personnel for performing NDE examination at work sites.

1. Enforce the implementation of HSE-MS inclusive of effective management .
2. The Marine Supervisor is the Officer in Charge, has primary responsibility for all the Marine & Security measures activities.
3. Coordinate, control and plan implementation and execution of safety training drills, exercises and briefings.
4. Chairman of the site HSE committee and lead the monthly Facility Safety Meetings.
5. Manage the development and monitoring of crude oil loading plans, offloading activities, Custody transfer Liquid Metering System.
6. Manage the washing, gas freeing and preparation of cargo/ballast tanks for entry, and the supervision of tank entries and tank work.
7. Manage coordination, supervision and implementation of checks and activities required prior to the berthing

8. Auditing of all marine operations to ensure procedural compliance.
9. Ensure roles and responsibilities of all marine personnel (including new personnel) are clearly defined and understood.
10. Ensure all facility personnel required for marine activities are adequately briefed in relation to their specific operational functions.
11. To perform individual performance appraisals and assist in the development of appropriate competency training .
12. Supervise the ongoing development, updating and implementation of operational procedures and work instructions.
13. Responsible to maintain Survey Program as per Classification Society Requirements.
14. Manage and coordinate marine related contractors and visitors to the facility.

15. To participate in an emergency response role as defined by the Emergency Response Procedures.
16. To perform any other jobs as assigned and to meet Maintenance/Operational/Marine requirements.

Job Description

The Research Assistant will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to design and build desirable microstructure to enhance mechanical properties of steels by additive manufacturing.

The job scope of this position is:

• Conducting literature reviews and understanding state of the art
• Planning and implementing experiments
• Developing simulation models to guide microstructural engineering
• Analysing the experimental and simulation data
• Writing progress reports and research papers

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of metallurgy and microstructural engineering is highly required
• Expertise in microstructural characterisation techniques (e.g. TEM, EBSD and FIB) and mechanical testing
• Expertise in numerical simulations (e.g. phase field, FEM)
• Experience with metal additive manufacturing (e.g. powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition) will be advantageous
• Good publication record will be advantageous
• Self-motivated, good team player
