Duties to Perform:

The Senior Chemical Engineer will work on designing, tendering, and monitoring the installation of bulk chemical and high purity chemical systems for industrial facilities in semiconductors, electronics, biopharma, and related industries. The gas systems include bulk chemicals, high-purity chemicals, slurries, and related distribution networks.

The Senior Chemical Engineer will collate the client’s capacity requirements and specifications and prepare the conceptual design, make a detailed design for system capacity, configuration, schematic, P&ID, PFD, layout, distribution, and system parameters, and prepare documents like the scope of work, reports, pecifications, standards, logistics, and detailed drawings for tender.

The Prospective Candidate will review proposals from contractors and continue to support them during installation when required. The Prospective Candidate will work closely with other disciplines such as Architects, Civil, Cleanroom, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, and Construction Engineers, as well as CAD/ BIM designer in designing and delivering the project.

Requirements:

You should have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Job Requirements

1. Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

· Relevant certifications are an advantage.

2. Experience:

· Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the construction or wholesale trade industries.

· Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

3. Skills:

This full-time Manager, Planning role at ST Engineering Aerospace Engines Pte Ltd, based in the Airport Road East Region, is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics and materials handling leader to make a strategic impact. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of logistics and materials handling operation, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of complex aerospace solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee all aspects of engine MRO Gate 2 operations for Commercial Engines and Logistics of the Company
• Drive Gate 2 operational excellence and be accountable for engine on-time delivery, contractual TAT, and cost control, as well as quality and safety compliance
• Plan and ensure that material supply and subcontract parts are on time to meet monthly engine delivery commitments as per customers’ expectations
• Ensure compliance of quality standards and regulations laid down by airworthiness authorities and engine OEMs
• Promote a safety culture within the Gate 2 and Logistics team and coordinate all environment health and safety issues for the business unit to ensure a safe workplace
• Lead Continuous Improvement/ Kaizen /Digitalization /Automation initiatives to reduce cost and drive productivity
• Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities for onboarding to AVL
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and vendors to expand the organization's supplier network
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable agreements while maintaining positive relationships
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and delivery timelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to streamline processes and optimize supplier performance
• Monitor and ensure issues and disputes with suppliers and vendors are resolved in a timely and effective manner, fostering a cooperative and productive working relationship
• Continuously assess market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and value-added solutions through effective supplier management strategies
• Ensure accurate records and documentation related to supplier contracts, agreements, and performance metrics are maintained

What we're looking for

• Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering/Supply Chain Degree with at least 5 years relevant experience as Planning/Material/Production Manager in Aviation Industry
• Knowledge and experience in aircraft engine MRO environment will be an advantage
• Knowledge of aviation authority regulations (CAAS, FAA, EASA, CAAC)
• Proven leadership track record with strong ability to drive and deliver results
• Highly motivated and self-directed with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with all levels of the organization

Job Scope

Responsible for several duties such as: Processing of payments and financial transactions to suppliers and obtaining goods and services from suppliers promptly. Liaising with finance officers and suppliers concerning stock management, financial records and accounts.

Verify invoices against (purchase) orders and ensure the goods or services were received before issuing payment to their vendors.
