Architect’s Responsibilities:

The Architect plans, designs and oversee the entire building process. He/She helps to prepare project specifications and detailed drawings on architectural works for their clients. The Architect is involved in bringing the project to fruition, by advising clients on project execution or supervising the progress and quality of workmanship on-site. This may include arranging contracts between clients and builders, visiting construction sites to ensure that work is in line with his/her design and to discuss any design alterations that may have arisen during the building process.

~ Stay updated on the latest architectural trends to ensure the proposed building design is up to date with the latest industry development.
~ Advise clients on project execution, supervising progress and quality of work.
~ Check on progress and monitor compliance with plans.
~ Consult with clients to determine objectives, budgets and the functional and spatial requirements of the building project.
~ Ensure that all building works and procedures comply with the building codes, guidelines and regulations.
~ Manage builders to ensure the building and installation works are in accordance with the building plans and specifications.
~ Prepare preliminary sketches, working drawings and full detailed drawings for architectural works, and utilize advanced computer technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) together with other building professionals to integrate the building's architectural, structural and mechanical designs.
~ Put together feasibility reports to the clients to evaluate on the practicality of the project.
~ Seek approval from the relevant competent authorities before commencement of any building works.
~ Supervise the construction from start to finish to ensure high quality building works.
~ Work closely with a team of building professionals such as civil and structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, interior designers, quantity surveyors, project managers to complete the construction project.
~ Work with other building professionals (e.g. civil and structural engineer, mechanical and electrical engineer, quantity surveyor, etc.) to prepare finalised contract documentation such as project specifications including design layout, structure parameters, materials, estimated costs and construction timelines.

11. Attendance of meeting and or site survey with clients.

12. Submission of quotations / costing to clients within stimulated time frame.

13. Maintenance of good public relationship with vendors / clients.

14. Logistic and manpower planning and arrangement.

~ Analyse risk management data.

~ Assess viability of workflow improvements.

~ Coordinate day-to-day fleet operational activities under supervision.

~ Maintain relationships with clients.

~ Manage compliance to risk management frameworks, policies and processes.

JOB SUMMARY

Plans, implements, coordinates and manages all engineering operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages technical staff, including hiring, training, personnel development.

Manages operations and maintenance for assigned facilities and assists in development of operating and capital budgets.

Assists in operations and maintenance issues, troubleshooting and problem solving as required including all documentation required to fulfill the task.

Recommends/implements improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis and develop/maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals. Ensure that the maintenance and operations related to engineering is in line with the client requirements.

Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant personnel and technicians. Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with latest HVAC technology trends.

Maintains on-going communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors.

May assist in solicitation and acquisition of new management contracts and coordinate development of and/or maintain as-built drawings.

Responds to incidents and emergency situations, remotely for all countries and physically in Singapore if needed, (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and responds to customer concerns. Provide regular updates to all stage holders based on the approved channel by the client.

Implements and administers inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies.

Develops specifications and assists in solicitation and administration of maintenance/repair service contracts.

Ensures compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies and company directives as relates to building operations.

Management of the building power down for all locations including coordinating with the local FMs and the local vendors.

Other duties as assigned by the client, the manager or the account management team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff which aligns to the account and company goals. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of eight years experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety regulations. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, Singapore LEW license holder is a plus.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Universal CFC certification. Certification / license in two or more of the following is desired, and certain certifications may be required by local / state jurisdiction: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, boiler, plumbing. Facilities Management certification is desired.
