Mechanical Technician (Construction Equipment Repair/Excavator/Silent Piler)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct new equipment pre delivery inspection and rectification work if required.
• Perform outdoor servicing of equipment.
• Troubleshooting rebuilt/overhaul skill for heavy equipment engine and hydraulic pump system. (E.g. Excavator, Wheel loader, Articulated dump truck, Soil compactor, Motor grader, bulldozer, Skid steer, Backhoe loader).
• Prepare/repair equipment for rental/sale.
• Proper housekeeping and maintenance of workshop premises tools and equipment.
• Perform any other ad hoc task when required.

Requirements:

• NITEC, Diploma engineering related qualification.
• Technical write up.
• Possess skill to read and understand schematic diagram, repair/service manual to conduct troubleshoot/repair job independently.
• Experience in a heavy equipment manufacturer/dealership service/repair department is preferable.
• Prefer candidate to have mechanical and some electrical skill for heavy equipment.
• Must be willing to work overtime, including after hours, weekends, or public holidays, with prior notice.
• Class 3 license will be beneficial.

• Salary basic starting from S$3,000 up to S$5,000

Job Description

1. Project planning and execution included resource management, control and co- ordination with subcontractors, suppliers and Consultants.

2. Preparation of the project schedule. Prepare for drawings in accordance with design and classification requirements.

3. Check and and analyse drawings, authority requirements and tender specifications.

4. Monitor project quality of workmanship and compliance with requirements.

5. Implement correct working methods, observe all safety rules & regulations.

6. Attend Technical & progress meeting with owner.

7. Visit site to solve interferences during construction and updating of As-Built drawings according on site.

8. Supervise testing & commissioning works done in according on site.

9. Prepare checklists, procedures and close out comments of the projects.

10. Preparation of progress claims.

11. Follow the aftermath of the projects

Requirements

1. Diploma / Degree in M&E / LEW

2. At least 5 years working experience in construction industries

3. Good communication skills, independent & self-motivated

4. Knowledge in design & implementation of ACMV system
