Electronics/Photonics Engineering, Sales Engineer
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sales Region: 50% Singapore and 50% Asean (Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines)
- New customers creation. To identifying potential customers with planning and organizing sales call schedule by cold calls or given sales leads. Candidate is also required to maintain and servicing of existing customers. Address sales and engineering support goals, contributing to weekly, monthly and annual sales report, analysing expenses, identifying inconsistencies and troubleshooting issues.
- Prepare and making of product presentation, provide product application support, demonstrate or performing of Installation on the appropriate sales engineering equipment according to orders, specificities and preferences.
- Communicate with Principals (Suppliers) and Singapore Sales team together to drive for achieving sales goal. Selected candidate will be receiving product training, which may include product information, product application, maintenance, service support or deal with system breakdowns that occurred.
- Achieve related duties and responsibilities as necessary to support, organize and monitor the success of the sales engineering department and productivity. Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
- Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand their different need of product or service requirements. Prepare cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers and other professional personnel.
- Determines improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services. Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements. Develops customer’s staff by providing technical information and training.
- Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and anticipating future legislation. Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
- Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills, Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma/Bachelor degree in Electronics/Photonics Engineering or related field
- 2 years’ experience of sales industry sales experience
- Strong language & communication skills
- Hands-on proficiency in technical management and understanding
- Problem solving, Product knowledge, Selling to customer needs,
- New customer development, Readily to make cold calls, Presentation & Communication skills, Technical understanding,
- Requirements analysis, Innovation & Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
Condition of Employment:
• Date of Commencement: ASAP or 1 month notice
• Position Applied: Sales Engineer
• Transport Allowance: SGD$80 per month
• Variable Bonus: Yes (Twice a year, May & Dec)
• Working Hours: 830am to 530pm
• Working Day: Mon to Fri
