The Laboratory Officer will be responsible for the efficient operation of the vapor deposition lab, focusing on both physical vapor deposition (PVD) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques. The Laboratory Officer will work closely with the research engineers and scientists to oversee lab operations and provide support to ongoing projects. Key responsibilities include:

Lab Management:

• Ensure that the lab is well-equipped and stocked with necessary materials and consumables for PVD/CVD processes.

Process Optimization:

• Develop and optimize deposition processes for thin film fabrication using PVD and CVD techniques.

• Collaborate with researchers and project teams to identify and implement improvements in deposition quality, yield, and efficiency.

Experimental Support:

• Provide technical support to researchers and project teams for experimental setup, process monitoring, and data analysis.
• Assist with the design and fabrication of thin film devices and structures for research applications.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of deposition equipment to ensure reliable and reproducible results.
• Document experimental procedures, results, and observations in detailed lab reports.

Project Support:

• Collaborate with project teams to support the execution of research projects requiring thin film deposition capabilities.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure that milestones are met in accordance with project objectives.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address any technical challenges or concerns.

Training and Development:
