A Senior/Principal Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing or overseeing the development of chemical processes including low carbon processes as well as monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing processes in a pilot plant leading up to a technology transfer. Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal team in Singapore / India & liaise with customers / consultants on day to day basis
• Preparation of project documents including BQ
• Handling Design & Build projects
• Prepare optimised design solutions for projects
• Prepare Design drawings (Single Line Drawings & layout)
• Prepare design calculations incl voltage drop, short circuit current etc.
• Support multiple M&E projects concurrently
• Lead project meetings and work with team members to achieve the deliverables on-time
• Ensure drawings & documents are well maintained & stored in a timely manner
• Other adhoc duties as assigned

Requirement

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 yrs of relevant hands-on M&E experience in construction industry and LTA projects
• Need to be familiar with Singapore codes such as SS638 (CP5), SS650, SS555 etc
• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD drawings is preferred
• Familiarity in BIM (Revit / Navisworks) is advantageous
• Having consultancy experience is preferred
• Possess effective organizational and follow-up skills, meticulous
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Review of Risk Assessments.

2. Attend Construction Risk Management (CRM) meeting.

3. Attend Project Safety Review (PSR) meeting.

4. DfS and CRM meeting to be conducted simultaneously.

5. Ensure prompt submission of the monthly RMF report during CRM meeting.

6. Attend Monthly RMF meeting.

7. Other RMF roles as tasked by Construction Managers and as per project requirements.

Requirements

- Have reasonable exposure in safety and health for construction especially on transportation infrastructure projects i.e. tunnel structure, viaduct structure etc.

- Attended the Design for Safety (DfS) for Professional Course and passed the assessment

- A registered PE or Architect with a Practicing Certificate, or

- Minimum 10 years relevant experience (tunnel structure, viaduct structure etc.) in the design (min. 5 years in design which includes contributions to designs, writing specifications) and the supervision of the construction of structures

Job Description

• Progress Monitoring: Keep a close eye on construction programme progress, identify delay events and their impacts, and assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims and client presentations.
• Reporting & Analysis: Create detailed progress reports, S-Curves, progress trackers, and conduct programming health checks to ensure project alignment.
• Recovery & Optimization: Develop recovery programmes and summarise key strategies to overcome challenges, including preparing baseline schedules with resource and cost loading.
• To prepare, coordinate and update the planning requirements program of the project with the objective of ensuring that the program is aligned with target.
• To update the Project Construction program and status of the program in order to generate weekly and monthly reports with respective trend charts

Requirements

Job responsibilities：

1) Quality Assurance / Health & Safety Support;

- Administer Project Management resources to assist QA / H&S to:

- Recommend penalties for subcontractor non-compliance to QA / H&S requirements.

- Ensure follow-up to site quality inspection (by external consultant) comments.

2）Operations Support:

- Administer Project Management resources to assist the Operations to:

- Incorporate construct ability inputs from the Operations in design drawings;

- Ensure the timely receipt of design drawings for subcontractor tender.

- Ensure that the site managers / engineer attend their respective design meetings on a monthly basis.

- Administer Project Management resources to assist the Business Development to:

- Act as the direct reporting manager to some of the assigned Project Management personnel in the company:

- Contracts / Projects Executive

- Conduct Client design kick-off meetings for assigned projects and subsequently, monitor such follow-on meetings.

- Prepare and attend pre-construction meetings with Business Development and Operations for assigned projects.

- Co-chair internal design review meetings with Project Management for assigned projects.

- Provide project updates to the Deputy Director (Projects) or Assigned Senior Project Manager as and when required.

- Sign-off cost reports for assigned projects.

- Negotiate and Recommend works order to subcontractors for assigned projects.

- Approve on site/ keys handover to the Client for assigned projects.

- Recommend on formal notifications to the Client for assigned projects.

- Recommend on post-DLP maintenance / rectification expenditures for assigned projects.

- Recommend provision figures to Director (Projects) or Deputy Director (Projects) or Assigned Senior Project Manager for potential project cost / claims.

- Coordinate and verify subcontractor proposals for assigned projects during the award stage.

- Negotiate subcontractor deductions for project non-compliance and breaches.

- Compliance to key legal obligations in relation to the project;

- Flow through of Client contract obligations to the subcontractors;

- Project schedule and site progress;

- Adherence to Client progress claims;

- Formal project certifications, including handover certificates;

- Defect rectification progress, particularly during the handover / final statement claim stage;

- Maintaining relationships with relevant authority officers.

- Administer the filing and archiving of assigned projects documentation.

- Submit project progress reports for the Management Review.

- Recommend improvement on existing Project Management procedures / processes, including documentation.

Requirements:

- Must be a local Singaporean with a practicing license.

- A deep understanding of the overall situation and operation of Singapore construction projects, and good relationship with the authorities will be preferred

- 15 years of experience in the planning and construction of large-scale public building renovation projects.

- Proven track record as a renovation construction manager in large-scale projects, managing internal / external stakeholders – HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.

- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management

- Capatable to identify and address construction challenges and issues promptly.

- Excellent ability of organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

- Demonstrate leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a team.

- Fruitful knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction logistics.
