Job Responsibilities

1. Oversee the construction process to ensure that steel components are fabricated, delivered, and assembled according to design specifications.

• To fulfil ship repair jobs afloat or shipyard
• Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment (Diesel Engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, hydraulic system, deck machinery etc) on board all vessels as assigned.
• Troubleshooting all the mechanical equipment on board vessels.
• Jobs involved engine equipment removal, reinstallation, servicing, repair and reconditioning, commissioning activity.
• Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop.
• Managing team and delivering ship / shipyard schedule required.
• Carrying out any retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels.
• VSCC meeting, permit to work system, and trade certificates are required
• Managing of workforce and job, writing job completion report, submitting cost evaluation, liaise with owners representative, and always have to follow company SOP.
• Any other duties as assigned by ship repair manager and management

• Responsible to the project stakeholders for accomplishing the project objectives within the constraints such as project scope, time, cost and quality of the project.
• Coordinate and supervise the work activity on site, monitor the daily progress and keep track based on schedule
• Liaise with clients, consultants and main / sub-contractor on project coordination
• Carry out site inspection, analyse and resolve the site problem
• Carry out visual inspection on all installed components of structures
• Ensure the project complies with regulations and clients’ specifications
• Adhere to safety and health regulations and aim for zero accident in the workplace
• Ensure safety and housekeeping is to maintained to the highest standard
• To perform Ad-Hoc duties as per assigned

Job Description:

• Manage the project site by overseeing the day-to-day running of all matters related to the construction of the project as designated by the Project Manager.
• Plan, implement and monitor the work schedules according to the master and detailed work programmes.
• Assist in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan.
• Liaise with client's representatives on site and with all subcontractors.
• Conduct inspections and checks on work performed by all subcontractors.
• Assist in the evaluation and resolution of any discrepancies and problems arising during construction and which has an effect on quality of the works.
• Ensure that updated drawings including shop drawings are used by for all construction.
• Co-ordinate the handing over of completed works to the client and completion of the necessary rectification works.
• Prepare project-related reports as required by the Project Manager or Construction Manager.

Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• PE Board Recognised Degree
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
