Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.

In 2021, Enterprise Singapore, the national standards body for Singapore, had appointed ERI@N as a Standards Development Organisation (SDO) to develop and promote standards under the Electrical and Electronic Standards Committee. This includes standards supporting emerging areas such as renewables -offshore wind/marine & solar energy, secondary batteries and cells, solid state transformers, electrical energy storage systems, and smart grids. We also work with regulators and the industry on standards for electrical installations, building & services and safety and effectiveness of electrical products and services.

We are looking for a passionate Project Manager to support the work of the SDO.

Core expertise:

Project management responsibilities include managing the identification, development and promotion of standards meeting key requirements set by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG). These include supporting standards committees under the management of ERI@N in their standard development and promotion work to ensure timely and successful delivery of new and reviewed standards. The PM should have a background in business skills, project management, budgeting, analysis and stakeholder management. We are hiring a Project Officer to support the research related work for engineering research project titled: Harnessing Randomness and Chaos in Complex Disordered Photonic Systems - WP3 Miniaturized disorder-scattering based spectrometer in the mid-infrared and Terahertz.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Officer will work on engineering based research projects. The roles of this position include:

• System integration for the spectrometer and imaging systems
• Build up optical characterization setup and perform device characterization
• Perform the measurement of optoelectronic device

JOB PURPOSE

The Project & Engineering Coordinator has to oversee and manage, planning and execution of assigned engineering projects and working alongside other engineers in the planning, design, development, and evaluation of projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Foster a safety culture in all P&E project execution and ensure 100% compliance safety requirement, including contractors and visitors.

· Assist for creating detailed project plan, timeline and schedule to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.

· Assist Project Engineer to develop new project scope of work.

· Work with compounding and Polymer plant engineers to generate new projects

· Coordinate project execution - Coordinate internal resources, 3rd party vendors/ contractors during projects installation to ensure flawless execution of the project.

· All the engineering activities to execute in compliance with company guidelines i.e. mechanical integrity, SABIC Engineering Standards & EHSS requirements.

· Create the instructions necessary for systems to function. This includes manufacturing maintenance procedures, trainings and system handover to operation.

· Quality Control - Project Coordinate ensure that all work meets the required quality standards and specifications

· Verify and audit the project quality documents with vendor to align engineering standard.

Job Description

• Researches, plans, coordinates and proposes original designs of mechanical products and systems. Performs testing of prototype and production equipment.
• Participates in customer and project review meetings relating to project assignments. Reports and presents information as required.
