Job Description
• Accountable for all financial and management reporting requirements of a portfolio of entities
• Supervise a team of co-workers to achieve financial excellence, including the following:
1) timely and accurate monthly reporting and submission of financial results;
2) transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, accounting standards, and group policies;
3) proper cost allocation for respective projects;
4) reconciliations of intercompany balances/transactions and key accounts are performed and reviewed
• Engage with business partners / management on financial results review
• Manage and lead harmonization and automation projects to ensure continuous improvement in quality and efficiency of accounting processes
• Coordinate closely with other finance teams on procedures and accounting matters
• Liaise with external/internal auditors
• Support business partners on financial information/reporting
• Provide guidance and training to a team of co-workers
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications
• Chartered Accountant will be an advantage
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in construction / manufacturing industry
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
• Good interpersonal skills – able to engage with co-workers from various work teams/levels
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Able to work independently and under tight timelines
• Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
