Our client is a prominent player in the marine industry, renowned for delivering seamless and dependable services that facilitate global trade. With a strong focus on innovation and efficiency, they design, build, and maintain cutting-edge port infrastructure, ensuring the swift and secure handling of cargo. As they continue to expand their operations, they are now seeking an experienced AVP – Equipment Engineering and Maintenance (EEM) to join their team and play a pivotal role in driving their growth and development.
Your new role
A few of your responsibilities would be;
· Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize equipment maintenance and engineering processes.
· Lead and manage a high-performing maintenance team to achieve agreed objectives and deliver best-practice results.
· Ensure compliance with operational and reliability standards and drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
· Manage financial control of the EEM budget, ensuring maintenance and repair costs are kept within budget.
· Develop and maintain a clear logistics strategy for engineering spare inventory, ensuring reliable availability of equipment spares.
· Enhance process excellence, SOPs, and Kaizen best practices within EEM to advance preventive maintenance programs.
· Expand data analysis and monitoring to provide a baseline for digitalization and real-time tracking of equipment performance.
What you'll need to succeed
· Degree in relevant Engineering or Project Management discipline.
· Minimum 8 years of experience in managing maintenance teams, with a proven track record in process thinking and leadership.
· Experience in managing P&L responsibilities for maintenance and extensive plant-level experience.
· Technical capability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
