[What you will be working on]

You will provide support to the School of Engineering in the areas of, Administration (day to day), Customer Services (front desk), Information Support (in-house systems and SharePoint repository), Finance and Procurement, College events, oversee the housekeeping of staff centre, as well as collation activities of requests from various stakeholders.

[What we are looking for]

- Possess at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

You should be trained in Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field in the discipline. Precision machining and manufacturing background with teaching experience is a plus.

Preferably three years of industry experience with at least one of the following areas: CNC machining and manufacturing, Mechatronics/Robotics, Automation, Programmable Logic Controllers, Systems Integration, Networking, Industrial and Collaborative robotics, Electromechanical Systems, Mechanical Engineering Design.

Multi-disciplinary engineering industry experience with a focus on Advanced/Smart Manufacturing, Industrial Internet of Things, machine to machine networking and data collection, Data Analytics and Systems Analysis for Manufacturing, Systems Integration of Industry 4.0 will be an added advantage.

Skills/Abilities:

- Proficient in the use of any of the 3D CAD/CAM software’s such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor or equivalent, Mastercam and Solidcam for CNC Machine programming

- Proficiency in electronics hardware design and prototyping, including: Microcontroller Programming (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), Python, Labview, Matlab, and Arduino IDE or equivalent

- Ability to work with colleagues-students, convey knowledge in-a-form students can understand, and be able to adapt teaching techniques to student needs-various instructional setting.

- Comfortable with technology and its integration in the classroom lesson delivery.

- Knowledge and familiarity with Data Analytics and Coding Essentials will be an advantage.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as word-processing and presentation software, internet, including e-mail application.

- Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as within a group and be able to motivate students and should be able to work with a diverse group of students.

You should be trained in Marine & Offshore Engineering or related disciplines with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in shipyards or sailing experience onboard a foreign going vessel as a marine engineering officer.

You should also possess the following skills:

- Maintenance and operation of all marine mechanical and electrical equipment and their standards.

- Knowledge of marine engine, piping, electrical, electronic, hydraulic system, and control technology.

- Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Other Alternative Fuels - Offshore wind and other renewable solutions.

- Future offshore systems, autonomous vessels, Electrification vessels, Maritime data analytics and Marine robotic.

- Growth mindset in teaching pedagogy and passionate about teaching - Previous experience as an instructor/coach in this trade would be an advantage

Added advantage if you possess in any of the following knowledge or skill sets
